Can I ask, why the large gap between the graphic sets? Is is just the nature of using a professional cutter to have that much waste? sincerely curious?
No. That is just how the designer laid out the graphics. I use a graphtec and you can utilize almost every inch of the media so you don't have waste. I guess they are ok with wasting that much media.
What printing are you using before you cut!

Excellent comparison video. They are both excellent plotters with slight differences in speed and I would say no difference in accuracy. The Graphtec reads the registration marks faster (6.62 sec) but cuts slower (1 min. And 15 sec), while the Roland reads the marks slower (21.52 sec) but cuts faster (1 min. 05 sec. )
