I've never liked his alt mode but bot mode colors look better than the first 2 runs. Hopefully, the Masterpiece goes with this color.

The lack of paint in a bonus, keeps the price down, the opposite of Newage's constantly ballooning prices for their fully painted figures.

Glad I didnt buy this one at the g1/idw launch. I didnt like the color and it was so costly... Now its even more expensive but the color made it worth it :)

Really hoping I have the money to spare to get this deco at some point, would love to swap him out for my original one. Only other one I'd be absolutely desperate to get is swindle, the new colours on him are such an improvement

You dropped in a preview comparison with the new Onslaught at the end, nice :) One piece missing in the review is the new chestplate for Bruticus. Is it really darker than the old one (the pink especially)? I dont have the original so I can't tell :p

Pondered about getting this new C set as well - after double dipping into the initial toon release (to display both Bruticus and the Combaticons) - but in the end I decided to stay away. Too many new figures coming out in the near future to throw more money on this redeco, plus I'm one of the few early buyers not really having any issue with the original colours. Definitely great for the new collectors and those who like to get all the variants no matter what.

Memo, your points are very valid on this review. I agree it does need a step up from the previous mold despite it being one of my favorites for Soundwave. It's pelvis flap is very MFT like, and the ultra obvious kibble in Alt mode is almost as bad as a spot of ketchup on your favorite t-shirt. Color scheme is my preferred especially being that it mimics the cartoon look the best. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the lighter blue 1st issue. I think now that they've released the most current tape team with similar tape minions it's value I believe should drop on the secondary market. Since you mentioned the figure having both hands with the slight bend in the finger. I've used the other hand to simulate a trigger finger while holding the gun as he presses Eject. Thanks! I finished assembling this monster. It looks awesome. I did notice that in the helicopter you didn't flip back the windows near to the hand. That gives more stability for better articulation. Really awesome job! You have great memory to be building this out of memory hehehe.

An argument could be made for most cartoon accurate legends figure with Onslaught C. This is the last version I ever need. 10/10.

Got it 2 days ago as well 😊 Perfect color scheme, one I really wished for, fun transformation, the best of the pack so far. The dark teal matches the new Vortex (I was afraid it's going to be too blue, thankfully not) and the dark purple chest piece gets me hoping for a dark purple Blastoff (not the pink one). This is what the C version stands for! Looking forward to your review as always 👍
