The discovery of the site dates back to 1900, marking the beginning of mining activities in the region. The Ash Peak Mines are primarily an underground operation, with production commencing in 1905. This is not a mine it's a borrow pit. This is my favorite spot to hang out when I'm not exploring mines. The nearby farmers used the dirt to level their fields and in the process created one of the best spots to go dirt bike riding. www.youtube.com/@UCfUAhDpX_eRyHoMG3rrNqzw Abandoned And lost

Ajo, an old mining town with a lot to offer.
Просмотров 403Месяц назад
Ajo is the Spanish word for garlic (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈaxo]). The Spanish may have named the place using the familiar word in place of the similar-sounding O'odham word for paint (oʼoho). The Tohono O'odham people obtained red paint pigments from the area. Native Americans, Spaniards, and Americans have all extracted mineral wealth from Ajo's abundant ore deposits. In the early nineteenth...

300' Deep Shaft to Artifacts
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.2 месяца назад
I repelled down a 200’ mine shaft in southern Arizona and explored the workings at the bottom. We found all kinds of artifacts and another passage that took us another 100’ down to more workings and artifacts. It was the deepest I’ve ever been in a mine. It was very exciting and fun. It was cool to find all the artifacts. Abandoned And lost
The Hunt for Fire Agate
Просмотров 1023 месяца назад
On 8/17/2024 I took a trip with my son Mason to hunt for Fire Agate. Fire agate is a semi-precious natural gemstone discovered so far only in certain areas of central and northern Mexico and the southwestern United States (New Mexico, Arizona and California). Approximately 24-36 million years ago these areas were subjected to massive volcanic activity during the Tertiary Period. The fire agates...

Carbide Lamp
Просмотров 9164 месяца назад
A Carbide lamp or acetylene gas lamp is a simple lamp that produces and burns acetylene (C2H2), which is created by the reaction of calcium carbide (CaC2) with water (H2O). Acetylene gas lamps were used to illuminate buildings, as lighthouse beacons, and as headlights on motor-cars and bicycles. Portable acetylene gas lamps, worn on the hat or carried by hand, were widely used in mining in the ...

Looking for Caves and other Stuff.
I'm glad someone finally took a proper camera down that far, shame there wasn't more left on the 600. Those green things in the 300W magazine looked like cast boosters. They're small PETN charges that are supposed to be used to initiate ANFO, but I've personally had very bad luck with them in smaller holes. We went to 100% dynamite for initiation after a couple of cast boosters totally failed and left us with twenty pounds of compressed ANFO to wash out of partially booted holes. Cast boosters are better suited to large-diameter holes like you'd see in a surface mine or the huge longhole stopes this mine is known for. The drill steel in there were 4' types for longhole drilling. The threaded ends screw together with greased coupling fittings so the driller can keep adding additional steel as the hole progresses. We periodically do that with jacklegs for drilling short-range exploration holes maybe twenty feet - good to help bullseye a vein you're chasing. The electric slusher on the 200W dropped muck down an ore pass; the bottom of the ore pass is the chute at 13:35. That's also the tie-in to the ventilation/escape raise. The manway going down from the magazine is a continuation of that escapeway. Abandoned Underground and I actually found a miner's cat living on the 300 level. It's not shocking that they've gone down further.
You found everything except a ping pong paddle😅,nice explore!
Hey there buddy. I was looking at these older videos trying to find part 1 to your most recent, Ash Peak Mine part 2. I never found it but did find this awesome video. Im glad I did as this place was pretty much unmolested. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. This is the kiind of video I love to watch

I used to ride @ redrock and pinal in the 90s. Good times. My buddy Jake ripped a superman off the table top @ pinal. For the 90s that was wild. On an 80s cr125 to boot.. He was an amazing guy! (r.i.p....buddy)
That’s some badass footage!
So cool!
Which mine in arizona has tbe best ore cart tracks?
Hey ! That’s my dad
That’s actually so cool!! How’d you find it
Nasty teeth!!!
Holy crap that’s huge!!!
Where is this?
It followed me home, can I keep it?! If the exhaust was covered, it would probably fire with a fresh set of batteries (and then blow every single hydraulic line in under five minutes because of sun rot).
I was looking forward to this video. We enjoyed showing you around and can't wait to revisit the shaft with ropes!
you guys are awesome. I had a blast
I believe those rocks you asked about are drop stones. Basically sentiment dripping in water and forming a rock
Thank you, I love old museums like the one in Ajo.
Society started declining the moment competition became a bad thing and participation trophies became a thing! Curses from the evil left!😢😢
There are canals and irrigation ditches in the area over 2,000 years old. The whites destroyed centuries of farming techniques in the area.
It's nice you can check things out. Places I've been, say don't leave the trails
To continue as a paid RUclipsr, don't post such garbage videos again. Look for other contents. 😂😢😅
Pretty cool I was actually in that area looking for that place couldn’t find it. Maybe I was in the wrong spot but I was following the GPS. Oh well I doubt I would’ve went in there or even been able to get near it since you have to have a key, I guess, oh well nice video😊
Such a cool video. Some friends and I just found and explored this mine last weekend
I always wanted to go in here. We couldnt ever get a key.
Just push it out of the way 😂
I remember them mining that in the 1970s. Siiver , gold, lead, zinc. In the early 90s, they did a bunch of rehab work in search of wulfenite crystals . In 2011, the idiots installing the metal grates caught all the timber on fire, and the mine belched out smoke and fire for about a week. Cool explore..
Very cool mine. Sad to see how you guys ripped the place apart. Hopefully you didn't go home with anything..... I'd recommend making an effort to put things back where you found them so that when your kids grow up and come along to explore, they can still have an inspirational experience without having to see your artifact arrangements and climbing through the crap you discarded rifling through things. At least you weren't spray painting! Cool footage none the less.
DYK what they were mining?
Thats gold near the dynamite
Lead, zinc, gold and copper
Use to play with that fuse cord when I was a kid we had lots of it around
Looks like ash on everything from fire
Fantastic explore! Thanks for taking me along.
I’m guessing Az?
He used to live in Kubach and had a mind very close to there actually a few minds I think anyway I went there a few weeks ago his brother was killed at the mine by Mexican bandits. There’s a grave there to honor him, but he’s not buried there, but I did not know he was buried up there.
@@desert-walker I saw your video and was wondering how many graves this guy had.
Wow a few places i remember when the barn and house was in good shape now there falling down
As shocked on how many checks were on the floor i was like i hope nobody can do some bad scam stuff with them
Been there a few times and it never gets old love that ranch. Watch out for the bees they chased my girlfriend they did not like here lol
So sad to see Hayden today as compared to the thriving town I grew up in during the 70's. So many memories and history here.
Awesome video, and great finds!
🤠
Dang! That’s so cool
Oh thanks
Javalina, peccary, wild boar, feral pig....it don't matter. If they have young to protect they'll take your leg off.
NEXT TIME USE GLOVES AND A MASK ON YOUR FACE, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING CATCH???
The former occupants were not too far off under the desert sand
Heisenberg!
I use those mole traps, they work good, there is a tool you use to pry it open and set, will take a finger off if not careful
I bet the "good generator" disappeared after this video
nothing to see here folks, lets move along...shows over....
Aliens ate the owner.
let me barrow that and ill make you a 3d printer file to print it. Just the lower half.
How long you think it's been there ?

Woman's off-grid winter time crash pad? Would be interesting to play some of those tapes, find out if they have any relatives. Neat video, so wild what is out here.
