What is the meaning of the death head ?.90 percent dont know .
It was used in symbology for death the defiance of death the thing which it is on being dangerous or a symbol for the dead. It also represented piracy and for substances with high toxicity.
@@gtrfd3 wrong
According to a writing by Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, the Totenkopf had the following meaning: The Skull is the reminder that you shall always be willing to put your self at stake for the life of the whole community.
Well thank you for that I am use to the first war meanings when it was used for the tankers and Calvary. Honestly I am more invested in to the first war then the second but I buy stuff in bulk so all information is appreciated. If there are any other videos that need more clarification or I get wrong, please feel free to correct me.
That should be Nürnberg. The main Christmas square 😁🎄
Thank you for that information it is a pretty photo
Greetings from Germany. This Wehrmacht Soldier looks a bit like my grandfather. Where did you get this photo? I hope my family album is still complete 😅 If there is a name on the back?
There is not a name on the back sadly. I got it in a group of photos this last week at a flea market near nurenburg when I was looking for First World War RPPC’s
„A happy Christmas and a successful new year wishes your Betty“
Thank you for the translation
Davon habe ich auch ne Menge zb das U Boot Abzeichen und Vlockadebrecher Abzeichen.
They do have allot of these as well
Es gibt Tausende ich habe die Verkers Abzeichen und die aus Ton .
It is cool how many different types they made
Habe eine Packung von 1940
That is cool I like these old cigarette packs
Ich liebe diese dinger .
I agree with that they are cool especially to see at some point the family gave new life to the photo
Ich habe das auch man bekommt eine ganze Tüte mit diesen Abzeichen für 10 Euro.
Here in German you definitely can if you go to the right places. I am quoting American prices due to them being a little harder to get there, and most people buying online instead of at flea markets.
Das ist schön.
It definitely is, it’s always cool to see what you can find at the flea markets
Hab ich noch von meinem UR Opa .
That is amazing
Für mich alles Schrott alle DDR Abzeichen.
I sort-of agree but for the right price they are great for people getting into collecting for cheep
Das habe ich auch
They are fun to find
Fun fact the 'Radschläger' is an old tradition in Düsseldorf which is believed to exist because the children of the city did cartwheels to celebrate the decisive victory of the Count of Berg over the Archbishop of Cologne in the Battle of Worringen in 1288. The battle was not only a military but also a political turning point for Düsseldorf. The Museum doesn't exist anymore but there is still a Radschläger Market, an art museum and souvenirs depicting a figure doing a cartwheel.
Thank you for the info it is cool to know.
(When the sun shines, Annemarie) Words and music by Herms Niel When the sun shines, Annemarie, we'll go on a country outing! And we'll wander through the beautiful world, happy and free, as we like! And then we'll laugh, and then we'll kiss, little Annemarie, as is so usual! When the sun shines, Annemarie, we'll have a country party We're still young today, Annemarie, that's why we're going on a country outing! When we're old and grey, it's over, because then the children will leave! And then Grandma and Grandpa will only be there for the grandchildren! If the sun shines, Annemarie, we'll go on a country outing! Those who dream away the beautiful days of their youth will never catch up on what they have missed. And as long as this happiness still blooms for us, we will sing this beautiful song: Today we will laugh, today we will kiss, little Annemarie, as is so usual! When the sun shines Annemarie, we'll make a country outing. (A bit hard to translate because Landpartie has no 100% accurate translation)
Thank you for the translation it is always nice to see. I hope you enjoyed the video and I am glad you watched it.
His name is Otto. I suspect he was from northern Germany because in south Germany they wear different hats when hunting (the hats are different from region to region)
Thank you for that information that is cool to know.
Amazing about the knowlage of history
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
Hi, im german and could try to translate it, in you want.
Large, magnificent Building Stone here in the Sunshine and the … bright bells Breaked on the Mountain wreath Proud building, deep wounds … Towers and roofs have disappeared The high arched windows are empty. We are overcome by a slight shiver When we enter the halls When the pale moonlight peeks through the broken wall Eduard Dietrich
Thank you very much that is wonderful I am happy you watched the video and I hope you liked it.
I cant read this very good but that in quotation marks is from Cyrillic to Latin: botanik
Thank you for trying and I am glad you watched the video.
Beutiful pin/badge. I have many GDR pins, flags, porcleain etc. I love the GDR the best country ever existed. I was there twice in 1987 and 1989.
Thank you and thanks for the view, I am glad you liked the video.
@@gtrfd3 Well I worked in GDR too...
@@Ulf-qg1vd how was it working in the gdr at the time of you don’t mind me asking. More specifically the work culture?
@@gtrfd3 Well it was good for me. I was young and had not so much experience. Also it was not for long. I know that the workers ruled the work places. You could not get fired but a boss could be moved. I got free food every day at work. In all factories etc they served extremely cheap food for all workers. The work safety and envirorment was very important for the country. You could complain about anything but the system or the party. All officials had to answer within a certain time. I would recomend all videos here with Victor Grossman (an american defector)? You will get positives and negatives from him. In the end he is bitter that DDR is gone. For me my visits to DDR was one of the best times of my life. It made a huge impact on me. I love DDR musical equipment. The country stays with me as the biggest political inspiration to me. That is why I have created a personal communist museum with a DDR corner. It is pretty impressive if you will ask me. I just bought DDR shoe polish to put in there. The beer costed like 18 cent ($). I bought some LP's with electronic music with Pond and Servi. Great!
@@gtrfd3 It was good. Free food applied in the work place. The workers had control in the work places. Could not get fired but could move the boss. Working envirorment very important in the country.
I did enjoy thank you. For sure it definitely would catch my eye! Dude has good fasion sence!
Thank you for the watch i am glad you enjoyed the short.
I hate that Gallifrey isnʼt a setting in series 10. And what I hate more is that Chibnall genocided the Timelords all over again. I consider anything after series 9 non-canon
i do like Dr. Who, but i am confused on the link between that and this photo?
The hat looks like Russian
Hi there! It reads "Freizeit" on the back, which literally translates into "free time" and usually refers to the time off work or school.
Thank you for that it saves me a little work. It takes me a bit to make out the different letters in the cursive so I usually don’t unless I am going to do a bunch. Tho I am glad you watched and commented hopefully you enjoyed the video.
Love these treasures❤
I am glad you are enjoying the old records
Very informative, highly interesting! Thank you very much for educational content like this - it really puts history in perspective!

Lol
Looks like Kurt served in an Armor unit as well
yes he should have being with the same unit through basic and the first deployment
5 or 10 dollars ? I'm not a professional but that sounds like too cheap a price. Are there a lot of them in the market ?
So there are not allot on the market but paper items honestly usually don’t bring allot of money. If you want to get into collecting and make a cool table book these items are the cheapest you can get. I got this item in a lot with 80 other similar items for $40 with shipping
Amazing. Keep the good post up. Especially the ww1 German stuff. 👍🏻
Brilliant video
Thank you for the support
@@gtrfd3 thanks for the videos. I create videos too as I think history needs to be shared and little bits of support make it all the different. Share history. 👍🏻
you should burn it
If that’s what you want to do, you are more then welcome to do it to things you buy. Me I will just keep collecting my letters and preserving the other small things I find even if they are controversial.
@@gtrfd3Ja ich sammle auch alles auch wen manche Dinge wertlos sind bewahre ich es auf.
@@michaelgrenz932 i fully agree, i collect things like this not just for the historic part but also so i can trade them to others who may have something i might want more

A MASONIC ORDER
Was it?
If it belongs to your deceased relative, why do you sell it, it doesn’t belong in pawn shop, just keep it, do u really estimate the effort at 10$?
I do understand where you are coming from. I bought this in a group at a flea market. These type of medals were massively produced and there are people who do want to collect military items that is why I give the price estimate which you can see is fairly accurate if you look up online prices. I am just doing these shorts as small informal videos for new collectors wondering what they found, or people who might want to get into collecting.
Those are forbidden in Germany
They use to be from what I understand they are ok to sell as long as certain symbols are covered up. Tho I might be misinformed.
@@gtrfd3 every kid in Germany knows that only the modern reviewed versions with academic commentary are allowed
I learned something new. Surprised they sell them openly at the flea markets
@@gtrfd3 oh this is very sketchy. You could propably get in trouble if the police saw this. I know nobody here that would dare to even touch that book.
