But why? Sure the design isn't the best, but looking at the tcg of the 6 bruxish cards I know of, only 1 feels completely useless. While the other 5 are energy searchers, damage spreaders, bench snipers, status inflictors, and the one from the new surging sparks set has the counterattack ability, that when hit in the active spot deals 30 damage to the opponent's active pokemon. Now going to the vgc side, sure the stats aren't anything special, but if you look at the abilities especially dazzling, it prevents opponents from using priority moves against bruxish and whoever else is on its team. It's a trick room setter if you need it to be, psychic fangs breaks screens, it has access to wave crash, it can be used in rain or psychic teams thanks to rain dance and psychic terrain, it has access to psychic noise that prevents a target from healing through moves, abilities, and held items for two turns, its great for being annoying with substitute, taunt, multiple screen options, and rest when it needs to heal, but it also can learn sleep talk so it can still do something while it heals. On top of all that, it can control the field through stat changing moves, it has flip turn if you need to switch out, and if you just need it to hit hard, it has swords dance to buff before it swings with wave crash or one of its other high damage moves it can learn. But sure you can say it's water/psychic type is bad, which I'd agree with seeing that it'd have to go up against rillaboom every time it hits the field. So just tera fairy and trade the grass, electric, bug, ghost, and dark weaknesses for a poison and steel weakness. If you still want to hate on bruxish, then go for it. I'm just showing it's worth giving a chance, even if its on a "for fun" throwaway team.
