It's refreshing to see an american on a 40 series with proper (diesel) engine
Apik
That roof rack system what is it called?
Like a woman accessorizing....
How much the pig weigh now? Upgrade suspension?
What size arb drawers did you use in the back? Are you still able to utilize the rear seat? Thank you.
Hey was this originally a Trakka pop top conversion from Australia?
The 40 series troop Carrier nicknamed troopy. Was only made for Australia. Because in Australia we have lot’s of them. Well use to until people all over the world started to come in and buy them all. And ps I have a troopy 1982, hj47 original motor and original 4 speed gearbox.
All of this happened...The Grand Teton, Buck Mtn, Teewinot...all solo in ice and snow. Then I went over to Mt Rainier in Washington and climbed it on a 2 man rope team with my Buddy Greg. I had the bumper put on The Mule then went and climbed rock in City of Rocks Idaho, then down to Moab with my buddy Jody and we hit a fair amount of rock in The Mule and his rig while we camped in out RTTs for a week. This was all 2018.
Toyota land Cruiser the best of the best 4×4 👍 👍 👍 👍 🎥👍🤝🙋♂️
I just did this race this past weekend. Holy smokes! They tell you it's hard. They aren't lying. There is literally not an easy step of that course. From beginning to end, they never have mercy. And that's why I am proud to have earned that huge buckle. I only want one, though! Good luck to anyone who attempts it in the future. Feel free to reach out to me if you want any insight into what to expect.
The RDs are really good friends of mine. I thought that was you. I was at finish line when you came in.
Oh wow cool! I wish you would have said hey. I was in a complete fog man. Just shy of 45 hours of movement without sleep the whole time will turn your brain to mush. I couldn’t comprehend simple things people were telling me. That was, by far, the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Now that it’s over, I’m glad they didn’t go easy on us. You have to truly earn that buckle.
As an 82FJ40 owner I kinda wish you actually did a walk around. Nice rig though!👍🏽
I wanna see footage of the 4Runner and Moab!
Shaw_Shooting I have about 8 episodes on back log. It will be the next one.
Great Videos. Could you give me some info on the storage drawers you have in the back?
Luis De La Cruz Munoz ARB Outback modular
looks so sweet all kitted up, nice rig.
B Roll Offroad love it! Had it all over the country now.
i sub'd to see where you go next. check out one of my newer vids, you just might like it!
gnarly man! nice drone shots too.
B Roll Offroad appreciate it brother. I have footage for about 8-10 more episodes. Climbed Rainier, went back 3 weeks later to Tetons and climbed The Grand Teton. Moab, more CBI footage....lots of stuff. Thanks for checking it out!
New sliders and rear bumper, very nice. I just bolted some sliders on the 200 before my beach trip last week makes getting to the roof rack items very nice.
Larry Landry yes sir. Wanted 2nd spare and fuel accessible. This took care of it
Whew. Got a little dizzy when dude started cutting on it.
Lovin' that drone footage.
Great video thanks for sharing!
Brandon Whistler thank you sir!
Safe travels!
Florida Expedition come go with!
Unfortunately with summer here we've planned a vacation out west with the kids. Gotta save $ 😏
Awesome video and great job in the race man, crazy tough course!!!
Ryan Clayton thank you!
So what is the biggest hurdle? Is it the physical part of the mental part of running 106 miles through the mountains?
Michael Rinehart when I first started running ultra distance I tried to be scientific with nutrition and so on. When you get to 70+ miles after 20+ hours of continuous movement there is no amount of science that will get you through. It is pure will power and the willingness to suffer intentional potential injury to yourself, putting completion above all else that gets it done. For me, beyond 80 miles is when you go behind the veil of the unexplainable. Hallucinations, black outs, etc. Michelle passed out twice doing this race 3 years ago and woke up finding herself lying in the trail. She got up and kept going. Just what you do. Also the reason you need experience running these distances before you go at this race.
Awesome video! Thanks
jencov7 thank you!!
Hats off to all those to attempted and finished!! Awsome!
Dumb question time: What are those periscope things on the side of some of the vehicles?
Michael Rinehart it is a snorkel. It allows deep water fording as well as getting the air intake out of engine compartment and up into cooler (cleaner air if air filter attachment used) air.
Michael Rinehart pick up around a mile to the gallon and every little bit counts days from anywhere
Maybe next year, love that area
Larry Landry you’d love it L2! That 200 will be the star of the show though phat money!
LOL, I'd be happy to show them an old 200, hoping to build an overland purposed trailer next year. I'll meet ya'll there next year. Cheers & keep dem episodes coming. Also go check out the guys over at ACC shop that build and equipment Land Cruiser and Toyota platforms. Would be a good episode in your backyard. accgarage.com/
Larry Landry we’ve got Big Bend before that!
Absolutely, I gave the heads up that mission is a GO at our annual crawfish boil last weekend normally we'll have 5 - 6 rigs that will be IN to make those trips. We'll sync up on the details we've already started getting some materials together :)
