There is no underwater restaurant, however the Italian restaurant is located over the edge of a reef at the drop off point, where you can watch lots of fish, sharks and manta, also at the other side of the island at the end of the water bungalows there is a Thai restaurant over a reef.

You must be able to swim in order to become a qualified scuba diver, so I believe that scuba diving is not available to non-swimmers. Snorkeling may be available to non-swimmers, as buoyancy aids are provided for snorkeling. However I would advise to check first with the DiveOceanus dive centre.

Hi Ronny, I cannot remember the specific time, but we did not have to wait very long for the domestic flight. The longest wait was for collecting our suitcases (about 40 minutes). However once we had collected our suitcases from the carousel, we walked through into the arrivals hall and located the Villa Resorts Sun Island Kiosk, where a very nice lady immediately took us round to the domestic terminal (short 2 minutes walk), and helped us check in for the domestic flight to Maamigilli. We were then boarding within about 20 minutes of checking in. Our wait times were okay on the way there, but we had a couple of longer waits for connecting flights on the way back home!

Hi Tony, yes you have to collect your luggage in Male, then go through arrivals and look for the Villa parks booth. Somebody there will take you round to the domestic terminal next door, and help check you in for the domestic flight to Maamigilli

Hi Martin We didn't notice any Russians, they were mostly British and German. The hotel was brilliant and the staff were so attentive, they couldn't do enough to help you.

Hi Richard, the snorkelling trip was through "Dolphin House", who are based at the Premier le Reve hotel.

This one doesn't fly away Chris (touch wood), it has GPS, and I have it configured so that if anything goes wrong it returns to where it took off. PS Learned my lesson with my first one haha!

I have been wanting to get good footage of the Flying Scotsman for a very long time, and I've also been wanting to get footage of a steam engine crossing the Ribblehead viaduct, but for various reasons, neither had happened (timings/weather conditions etc), so to finally get footage like this of the Flying Scotsman crossing the Ribblehead viaduct, was like Christmas come early for me...

As you were there, you will know it was difficult conditions for flying my drone, the wind was really whipping through the viaduct, and was close to the limits, plus I thought we were going to get rained off (can't fly in the rain). You only get one shot at it, but it all came good in the end.
