An snapshot Aviation channel with short to the point videos and brief descriptions of well known and lesser known aircraft. My name is Paul and this is something i would like to build and share for your quick reference. We will endeavor to load videos twice a week, covering all aspects of aviation. Hope you enjoy the channel and thanks for watching.
My history with aviation goes back 50 years to when i first started making Airfix kits, i have since flown many types from Chipmunks to Cessna 172, i have owned several paragliders and paramotors and have also done my time gliding, gaining my sailplane certificate at Bowland Forest in Lancashire, England and Pilot Licence in Blackpool England, i now live in Toronto Canada. I am an ex RAF veteran who has seen service with the Vulcan bomber force at RAF Waddington and also Wideawake Airfield on Ascension Island. BTW RUclips likes LIKES, just saying :)

Can you get your hands on Canadian F-104 footage from private collections? That would be awesome to see!
A little paint goes a long way
Great Catch 🚁
Excellen Air t Show
So that's where they were! I ran the Great North Run yesterday and they usually fly over the start line and Tyne Bridge... mind you probably just as well they weren't scheduled to do it because the weather was horrendous and probably would have been cancelled anyway. Great to see them doing their thing in Canada.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥
Hey, long time no see lol I been busy took took time to get to this years display and it was amazing
Que lío de engranajes
Yeah. A great looking plane. Pity that it really couldn’t handle water TOL. Saw one years ago doing a scary imitation of a submarine….just couldn’t handle a 10” chop. Looks aren’t everything, as many a guy has found out.
You're using the wrong sound Play YYZ by Dirk, Lerxst and Pratt
I think this more resembles a British DH-2. The Voisin was a French 2 seat aircraft.
There is an CF104 on a stick at John C Munro Hamilton at the Heritage Museum.
a very impressive display
Looks nice dont cut yourself on it
Almost did !
@@HANGER63 ye those things cut like hell
A friend of ours, who we used to drink with on occasion at our then local pub in England, Tony Irwin, was involved with the Seawind. When we lived in the USA we met up with him at the Seawind display at Oshkosh Airventure Fly-In in Wisconsin. The stories were epic! A great looking aircraft - sadly gone away.
Awesome machine
I love it! One day!
Sweet ride ehh
all they do is fall off thev end , very boring at best
how true
this plane showed why falling over is dangerous.
Hi. I was i up there two weeks later after a fish and chips wireless moment..
😮👍
Almost made it to Billy bishop
Nice
Looks great. There is also a full size Spitfire replica at Fairhaven Lake near Lytham.
That’s cool, we have a spitfire museum at Blackpool airport I went a few years ago is really cool
Inside cockpit footage same day shows how difficult this was ruclips.net/video/qa1G1_KZyxo/видео.htmlsi=ISRzzm2YAzbmIr9d
Future proof in having no future!
Great catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
I was fortunate to have met Calvin Parker many years ago while doing a feature story on him and his airplanes for our local newspaper in Texas. Quite the story.
Awesome, I was really impressed with his knowledge on everything on aviation
Excelent capture. Shows how important such a small flap can be. Keep up the amazing work!
👍
Great capture! can i use this as part of my series for a vid? you will be credited in the description and video of course ❤
Go ahead!
@@HANGER63 thx!!
"A-330" xd
Yep
remember it's without a hyphen@@HANGER63
lol hardly scary. and the commentator has no idea what's going on.
lol why was I not having an idea 💡 it was a very windy day the x wind was SW and we were brought down perfectly, but around me people was scared 😱 not me I been a pilot for years now. BTW I have to put scary, or terrifying or YT won’t even promote the video ☺️👍
90kph crosswind? 🤨
@@lebojay could have been 100 ? Hurricane like
Seen this ? 😮 it’s same day, maybe same flight, you think it’s easy 😮 ruclips.net/video/qa1G1_KZyxo/видео.htmlsi=ISRzzm2YAzbmIr9d
amazing
Dynam 👎👎👎👎
It’s actually a really good model, tip stalls like a real spit when landing to slow
Funny how a fim you see when you're in your prime, can affect you for the rest of your life. 30 years later and this is still my dream bike❤
Way under-powered with 80hp.
Don’t think of that, thanks
It's amazing the infrastructure to be able to do that .
That is a 4 lane road near my house, it’s no central reservation so he picked a good spot. Hit something on way in both wings mashed at the tips
hmmm
Not a crash .....
Crash landing I said, broken both wingtips
Nice work on the eyewitness news brother! That's pretty crazy.
Wa son my Town Group soon shared the serial number shows the plane originated from Toronto Island Airport 😮
A phone conversation and a couple of letters exchanged with Brian many years ago got me started on my Teenie Two, which was a fun project! However, as a structures AME, seeing the damage sustained in what must've been a hard landing, on the front of this plane, openly displayed and then flown, is really a shame.
3 blades on the propeller is better than 2, but why not four as in the original
Not sure, is what it came with TBH
true. this one is probably a mk9 or mk16, and both hav 4 propellers irl
Only flew a Cessna 172 but I’d fly this. Multi engine adds a of safety with this tiny bird. This one is at the top of my list for ultralights to buy. I have yet to find a decent one used locally
I flew paragliders so I’m all in if I could get one too :)
This isn't in moose jaw by any chance
It’s in Trenton at the Canada Air Museum Ontario
@@GuitarsandDrones yeh Trenton
My favorite taildragger.. would love to fly one. Doesn’t get off as quick as my Wilga but that’s a okay trade off! 😂
Looks and sounds awesome
No wonder I never heard of this plane. Seriously thought, it looks amazing and everything looks good about it, hopefully it's given a another chance.
Looks fun to fky
You could bother to show SOME footage.......
Longe r video on main videos
This Lazair is a little rough around the edges but with a quick walk around, some engine testing and some extra tape here and there I’d fly it. It’s not in that bad of shape actually. People don’t know what they are looking at and rightly so. Yeah it’s a relic but so are DC-3’s and B-52’s. Remember this plane doesn’t still exist in 2023 because it’s an unsafe POS. Many many many UL’s of the early era never made it out the 80’s in one piece. Alas here’s this old 1982 Lazair sitting there just waiting for another cruise around the countryside. I’ve logged 4hrs Lazair flying time in the last week. Long live the old Lazair !!!
I would love the chance to fix this one up TBH but is not mine :(
You could probably get it for a song and a dance. Whomever owns it is not even taking the time to cover the engines with plastic/tarp or something to keep the water off of them. At minimum the velocity stacks should be plugged off with a rubber plug as standard procedure. The engines may already be ruined and need to be rebuilt depending on how long it has sat there.
@@shannonwhitaker9630 I think it’s just a static display model now
Nice
I have 2 Lazairs , built the both in the 80s , need to recover them and a few minor repairs… best Ultralight ever..
Wow awesome 👏 hope you fix em up
Maybe make a fibreglass spat for the front wheel to protect it from the drips. Nice plane, cheap n cheerful. 👍
Great idea 💡
OH, YEAH! WHY NOT?!?!
This airplane made so many dreams for me after I read about it in a Popular Mechanics article.
