Great video, I just got the big bag, now I will get the smaller brother. Thanks 😊
I came back to see this review. I forgot that I wanted to get this bag. Well…I just ordered it. Your review helped! 🫡💯
That is funny. Glad it helped! What else is on your list? Might be some good ideas on there.
what kinda harley you ride? i see that fob
I don’t ride it as much as I should but I’m fixing that. I inherited my dad’s 2002 wide glide.
One thing I’ve been thinking about is a case for my Ambernic. This one looks nice but I’d rather something more compact that can still hold the charger lead for it.
Some edc pouches might be a good fit but that is going to be tricky to find a decent fit
My favourite multi tool I’ve had is my Gerber Suspension. Seems to get a lot of hate online. Would love to see a video on that dude.
It isn’t that popular I might have to see for my self. Honestly that is more up my alley than the LEATHERMAN arc right now.
@@mfinresearch6462 I’ve only ever had a leatherman micra, which I love. Mostly due to cost. I checked out the arc online, looks awesome but so expensive. The suspension I’ve got is the original which I think goes for about £40.
This was a fun video! 🫡
Thanks glad you thought so! I had fun making it!
Enjoyed the video man. I have to say personally, if I couldn’t fit a drill in a tool bag, it would be a deal breaker for me. I use a small gym bag for my go-to/use daily tools and I’d have to fit a drill in there. Replacing a hundred screwdrivers with the bits is a good example for a compact tool kit, and that palm ratchet driver looks awesome! Never seen anything like that before man.
I agree with you. I got lucky in this case since I was planning to but it anyway I already had a plan for my hobby tools instead of a true tool set. I love the little palm ratchet bumped my knuckles a few times but it still some in handy.
Good choices
Thanks!!
I get the unit price, but I'd give both.
Great Idea I’m going to pin this comment and put the total cost at the time I did the research: 1. Zebra F-301-8.47 that price was after a 15% coupon 2. Walmart Notebook-1.12 3. Driski towel-14.99 Those were the ones in that made into the list. I did’t confirm the price until I made a selection in each category. So I don’t have the unit prices for the other.
SAK, small light, knipex 4 or 5”. A pen or pencil, RIR notepad. RIR is great simply due to durability. The waterproof paper is good for sweaty days of summer.
Didn’t think about the need for sweaty hands in the summer thanks for that! In my head I always envision a guy with a compass, some tactical pants on, deep in the woods breaking out the RIR in the middle of a storm. I figured I wasn’t that guy so I skipped them. I’ve been surprised before and love to see my assumptions challenged. Thanks for the recommendations!
@@mfinresearch6462 The real highlight for me with the RIR products is the durability. I've tried cheapo pads and they fall apart within a month in my pocket. I have been using the 3x5 spiral top RIR and 4x6 spiral top for years both in my pocket (in a small cordura case) and in my tool bags as a carpenter. They are so durable that I use them down to the final piece of paper every time and that often takes me 6-12 months to accomplish. And after a year, they are still going strong. Another use: what if you want to leave a note for someone and it happens to get wet? What if that note is important? Anyways, take care.
Thanks for the points to consider. I always found that the notes get destroyed in my pocket. Moving them to a sling or a pouch extended their life a bit.
Nice video! For Nextool, I feel like the pliers are just okay but their EDC 10 in 1 with the large flip out scissors are really great. For power bank, I just go with a Wurkkos FC13s so it is a strong light AND enough to get a phone charged for a call or 20% and is always on sale for $20. Then for cord, In-Charge or a generic Chafon are nice and short with adapters built in for USB-C, A, micro, and lightning (I add a small USB-C extender to help get into smaller, tight ports though). Totally agree about Viperade. It just can be tough to figure out which pouch because they have like 100 of them with just slight variations! I love my Tomtoc 11 inch sling for my iPad and then Alpaka Go Sling Nano for smaller day to day.
Using the flashlight as a power bank!! I knew that was a possibility but I always considered it a backup at most. I like it! I broken a few in-charges so I gave up on them. They work fantastic but I find a way to break them. Trying to get to USB C everything to avoid that problem.
@@mfinresearch6462 USBC everything is the dream! 😂
Awesome video my friend. As always. Thank you for the shout out. I love the suggestion to go to check out the clearance items on websites.
Thanks, and thanks again for the shout out! Going to the clearance section sometimes sucks in the RUclips world since one it is gone you lose people searching for it.

Thanks welcome!!!
f301 love that pen
Thanks for watching!! Me too!
Love this kind of video, good list. We geek out on expensive gear, but it is intimidating for beginners and people who simply can't or don't want to spend crazy money. It's also not really not necessary to get the job done. I personally would spend more on a decent knife and save elsewhere, like a multi-tool from Bibury or Rocktol.
Thanks for the input I completely agree. Plus I have too many hobbies to try and spend too much in one area.
Kamala has a Glock, Why don't you?
for a good small power bank that is reasonably priced check out the Sharge Flow mini. It's just slightly bigger than a tube of lipstick and comes with Lighting and USB-C built in. And all for $20. I keep one in the bottom of my pocket every day.
Just looked at it. Most videos focus on their larger chargers. I might have to pick one up for the future.
Instructions unclear. Went to Korea to get a tummy tuck.
???
Good overview! You got my sub. I am always on the lookout for a new bottle to look at.
Thanks I really appreciate the sub!!
Good video bro
Thank you!!!!
Great video. What happened to your strap? I've had mine for almost a year and it still looks like it's brand new. I use it everyday as a fanny pack
Thanks! I use it more of a sling but it does make a pretty good fanny pack. I think it was more that the material of the shirt didn't agree with the strap. It was easy to get off, and I didn't have the issue with any other shirts. I didn't fix it because I wanted to make sure I gave my full experiences in the review.
Hiya, great video, can a kindle paper white fit inside?
Thanks for watching. I think it will fit base on the size compared to an iPhone. I think it will fit inside but not inside the pocket.
Roxon KS2 Elite 👍
I will have to check that one out too! I like the form factor! Thanks for the recommendation.
It would be so fun if they interrupt with a last "daddy" at the end of the disclaimer 😅
That would have been hilarious 😂🤣🤣
😆so basically you went with price.
Sort of if you want to look at it that way.
A switch to go between simple and advanced UI is an idea I’ve never heard, and I like it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!!
I like Data Crew. I did use the what a junior. It's great quality. But to me Alpaka Hub pouch is just better and it's more practical for me.
It did grow on me, but it took a while. I do love the hub pouch to compare to any new pouches I pick up.
NexTool Mini Flagship would fit in place of Gerber Dime.
I ended up with the mini sailor but I still want to give the mini flagship a try.
Great review, thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
First! Great video! The stretch seems like the way to go because of the buckle size. Can’t wait to try one!
🤣🤣🤣 I think you would like it.
I dont think its wise to use magnet on SSD...
You're probably right. I've been thinking of trying a more dedicated option and transfer the files immediately. Thanks for watching!!
I know this may be too late but I love my Nextool mini flagship AND the mini sailor. I have them in 2 different spots.
I don't think it is too late. I have one, but maybe someone going through the comments in the future sees the comment and decides to push the button on the little multitool. It definitely kicked the Gerber Dime out of the pouch.
For every day carry Pakt is very very heavy
I agree!!
I stumbled on your video trying to decide what to take overseas, and you provided all the info I needed to make a decision. Going with the T24 so I can bring my MacBook on the flight. Great video and I look forward to more great EDC content.
Glad you found me. Glad I was able to help you out. Let me know how it works on your flight.
Do you feel that a smaller wireless mouse will fit in there? I generally carry the mouse, mini hockey puck style USB c hub and two phone charger bricks and cables. I have a non branded copy of the bigger bags I love, but it really bulks out my laptop bag, where this wouldn’t.
I think it would. I have an old mouse in that style that I gave to my daughter. I dropped it in and it seems to work just fine.
@@mfinresearch6462 Thank you, it is on the short list to get this year;)
A nail clipper, for your keychain !? 😂 okay
Why not???
Videos are becoming more polished and professional. Wishing you continued growth and success. Good content. I'm confident the channel will take off as more viewers come across your content.
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!!
Great vid! I've experimented with a few EDC setups and find that I keep going back to tiny 3 inch pouch. That's right....everything miniaturized. Contents include:... 1. a leatherman squirt 2. tungsten multi tool with a built-in fire striker, compass with tinder 3. an eyeglasses repair kit with magnifying glass 4. whistle 5. micro pen 6. nail clipper 7. benadryl and panadol packets with a couple bandages (mini boo boo kit) 8. a folded ziplock bag 9. a nite ize mutlitool prybar with bottle opener 10 Gum toothpick/ flosser (lol) 11. emergency cash 12. folder sheet of paper 13. a large safety pin 14. a snow mint 15 a rubber band Lastly, I have a rovyvon flashlight clipped to the pouch's external carry loop as its too large to hold inside the pouch but its worked out well as I usually access this more frequently than the other items. Since downsizing, my maxpedition with regular sized items has been relegated to the car. I only seem to access it when looking for random things or when putting together kits lol So in my opinion smaller is way more practical for EDC. Hiking and emergency situations like blackouts or get home bags etc are better served with the backpack type larger kits that have water bottles and large first aid gear etc. But for EDC, smaller and lighter has changed my outlook.
I agree smaller and lighter is the way to go. Glad to see someone else taking the folded sheet of paper approach.
I just got a ugreen usb c hub that has 4 usb a 3.0 ports it was $10 on Amazon to take with me to school. I have a bigger one that I keep on my desk at home. I also saw one that has 4 usb c ports.
I'm going to take a look. I have a few on my wishlist but this might be another to add.
Can you use this as personal item/laptop bag along with a carry on bag on international or domestic travel?
I wouldn't be comfortable with a definite yes on that one. It might work if it isn't all the way packed out and cinched down on a domestic flight. I think the chances are lower on an international flight. The 28L version probably gives you a better chance. Overhead it fits no problem.
Nice review with lots of insight. What kind of packing cubes/compression bags were those that you placed inside the backpack?
Thanks. I guess I didn't put any links in that video. Here is my Amazon link for them: amzn.to/42yeeMd
I’ve never seen these pouches by Tomtoc. Always looking for the new new. Great video!!
Thanks for watching as always!! There was a another one in their new design that's almost doubled the price. It does fix some of the issues I had with this pouch.

I will also point you to my EDC Hauls playlist where you can find more information about the EDC items I've covered to date. ruclips.net/p/PLUnTyHbYCM4ISVRCP_EaU_9rQmCFUzij8.
This is the what a junior 👀
Nope it is the what a slider. I don’t think the what a junior was released when I got this. Full video: ruclips.net/video/4y7LoyElQpk/видео.html
For that price I would expect a shoulder strap 🤷🏻♂️
That's a fair assessment. Seems like it would be a good idea given the compact nature. Thanks for point that out!!
Good stuff, just found you and subbed. Yeah, I love my power pint, carry a leatherman for work, but around home, power pint is good. And you might check out gear spool, they make little mini pry bars and also have a duct tape dispenser thing too.
Thanks for the info on the Power Pint. I'm going to have to compare it to the mini sailor in the future. Going to check out gear spool right now.
No dog tag?
No didn't think I needed one.
@@mfinresearch6462 u will need something ID tag with it If u lose your keychain , then someone find it and u will get your keys back
