Akina Downhill AE86 3'09"806 Initial D Arcade Stage 3
Arcade cabinets becoming very hard to find in working condition I This is a test recording for Initial D Arcade Stage 3. I am playing on Demu Emulator.
One of my big issues with recordings of this game is its very hard to see inputs when people record over the shoulder so I am testing screen recording with an input display to make it easier to understand what is going on.
I wanted to do this mainly for preservation reasons. Initial D is a very was important game for me growing up. I play this game a lot. I really only stopped because it became almost impossible to find working condition cabinets in my entire region. The closest I know of was 2 states away and that was almost 10 years ago ...

It's a long play because we stare at the opening menu for a decade and a half

You can actually beat both of the nagoryukis at the end if you just do grabs as soon as they wake up. So all you need to do to win is find a way to knock them over and you've practically won

That might be part of it yes but the game has a system where if the person behind is going much faster than the person in front it pushes them to one side. It makes blocking really difficult sometimes.

They rereleased the first one, I don't think it was "remade" but I'd just be happy to play it on a modern system. My original Xbox is packed away back home few thousand mules away.

you can get Hunter The Reckoning in XBOX Series S stores, but i wish they also put Wayward and Redeemer .
Only the original is on the store, Wayward is PS2 only and Redeemer was never made backwards compatible.
I found A copy of Redeemer new on ebay for about 60$
I wish I had a original Xbox or they would release it on the Xbox store because I have the first two and they have the first one on the Xbox store
I hope devs start making older games playable or better ports to new systems. I dont want older games like this to vanish. This game is super fun.

Is this tactic still viable? because for me whenever I try to bait his teleports he just becomes the absolute god of mix ups with lows and cross up and massive combos for some reason... Not to mention he also teleports and grabs,I ain't got a chance
Have not tried it since before the big patch. Give me a bit to get home and test it. I will get back to you.
It should still work. The combo options changed and the frame data for the most part is the same. But the ai feels the same. You might just need to be faster on the punishes and blocks.
Kinda for the ae86 to have a better launch than the imprezza lol

Yes I tried with I-no and try to change to Potemkin and it started from the beginning

You can use anyone I just used sol because he seemed more entry player friendly. I have personally beat Nago with Anji, Zato, Sol, Ky, Leo, and Potemkin.

Been playing GG for decades, but can lose a round before even reaching him. Then I guess you need to lose a 2nd time, then continue & 2-0. Watched an Anji vid that had 236K, S, S, H, 236H,S, (and super), but I got hit out of 236K & couldn't even reach him. I'm not a Sol main, but congrats. Good to know on throw. Been reading comments in vids to try to get info on beating this.
O.K. 4 hours later and I have my plat, well all the achievements on PC. This really did help, I never quite got the butterfly rhythm, I just struggled.
Which characters did you used?
Bro, I have no idea what you mean about the Anji butterfly because he always faultless instant move me every time. They probably did a stealth patch or something, this is ridiculous.

Thanks for the tips! I was able to cheese stage 8 with May totsugeki spam. Stage 9 took 15 or so tries and had to be much more reactive and not offensive. Throwing into the red roman cancel is the way to go and try to throw him in one direction into the corner for the wall break. Using faultless defense against his ultimates is a must. I unlocked the achievement on PC without issue.
Congrats. I wonder who I should try, and what people should do after a throw RC & what to use for wall break? Not sure how to beat him.
Just did this with Ky. Took about 25 tries. For clarity, you can lose rounds to any of the opponents, including fights 1-7. However, if you do lose a round, you have to lose the next and then hit rematch. I other words, whenever you defeat an enemy, you have to win 2-0.
