Oh my gosh, just watching this now. My childhood donkey friend was an elder donkey named Norah, and my great grandfather even remembered her when he was younger. No one knew how old she was! He shared so many stories with me about her, and other animals. Thank you for sharing your grandfather's oral history! 💛

Hello again, nice video connecting with nature. I have scene many chestnuts in Spain and Italy where they sell them in the winter on the streets roasted and also in the markets. Thanks for sharing.

The young donkey has figured out that something's missing from the older one. At the beginning of the scene, he was messing around with the older one's rear, and eventually, it became too much for him. It's good that after a month, neither donkey shows any injuries from their scuffles. I'd still keep a closer eye on them for a few days, just to make sure the little one isn't bothering the big one too much in the genital area. Usually, the stallion would dominate the gelding, but in this case, the gelding is older and has the advantage in size. I would love to see a longer video about their interactions 😃

Nice video. Good sense of the race. I'm surprised people are running with donkeys they don't know.. 15 miles is a pretty long run at 10,000 feet. 23 miles is quite a distance over that terrain.
