So, I like to see the confluence, because, you may see the price move to the middle range and bounce back, but if you have confirmation that it will move through the range - i.e where the candle closes beyond the SMA, it will likely be a reversal. Test it out for yourself and backtest it and see what works for you

Fair enough! Yes I think some strategies will be more subjective - especially if you are looking our for divergences

I don't actually know, but I would ask around on forums or maybe try out ChatGPT - you would be surprised what it can do. Great idea on the strict rule-based strategies you can implement algorithmically - I will have a look at that.

Yes, that would be more of a swing trading strategy, but as a day trader, you would find those signals on the lower timeframes
