4:25 - Showing the timing mark on the lower crankshaft is greatly appreaciated...no other timing belt replacement video on the Jetta S 2.0 engine that I saw talks about the lower timing mark.
As someone who knows barely anything about cars, can someone explain what this means to me?
It’s alright just got thru a06 esv 4l65e out of a limited slip truck the trannys like to compensate for the limited slip no forward gears no reverse let tranny temp drop below 100 you were in business for 10 miles everyone’s telling me it’s diff it’s diff two local shops told customer same thing they didn’t wanna drop the pan had the truck for an hour full diagnostic and discover within an hour of labor 8 hours later there’s a new tenant tuck goes forward backward and the seaping seals in the diff are still leaky to this day
Nissan engineers suck

So what kind of transmission? They have more the 1 type.
Hopefully it’s not the starter
Muy buena info gracias
Great video - thank you. I did this 3 years ago and bought the best alternator I could because this is such an idiotic design and a horrible pain to do. Fast forward 3 years and the $360 alternator has also gone out so I'm doing it again. The first time took me 5.5 hours. This time is taking me much longer for some reason. I REALLY should have just paid my friend's garage to do it. (BTW, your title spells Nissan wrong.)
God bless having little fingers I literally can get to it with a zero ratchet
Idle air control valve
I just did this repair and now it makes a whining sound when I accelerate is that normal?
No this isn’t normal, I don’t think it would be associated with this repair, unless you are sure the whining sounds is coming from the repair area
Alternator or transmission whine mine does the same thing
You are the shit very detailed
The same thing happens to my Cadillac, if you don't put the cable in the relay it won't start. What could be wrong?, so that it doesn't start normally.
hi friend, I have a Toyota Avensis 2016, the steering rods are fine, the tips too, on an uneven country road something also knocks but not monotonously somewhere in the instrument panel ... but on a smooth road there is none
Thank you for the video
thank you
What are your methods to de sludge oil gallies with out removing engine to tear it down and deep clean
Do you happen to have a replacement part link available?
Just use the tool easy
❤
Yo bro what’s different between bushing and seal my gs300 puking it out and idk if the the same thing or gotta replace 2 trannys alrd out
If it is puking from between the engine and transmission it is the Torque converter seal other name oil pump seal, I would recommend you also replace your rear crankshaft seal too while the transmission is out
Bruh, 🍻 cheers. Excellent tutorial. Attention to detail, the focused presentation. Ihad watched 3 other videos and learned nothing. Very confusing. Thanks for being thorough..
Can you do mine next
Toast
They are still driving this vehicle with no issues
Close the door and bonnet, bro
Thank you 🙏
What's the tourq spec on those pan bolts? Good n tight lol just impact them on there lol
They should be torqued down to 8 or 9 foot pounds or just use a small 1/4 inch ratchet lol I still hand tighten oil pan bolts. I just cut it out…
Thank you for this video. Great camera angles. Looks a lot easier than I originally thought. Nice work. But use some jack stands for safety. Thanks!
The old fluid was probably the only thing keeping that transmission together
It was already shot and this didn’t save the day
@@2EZEverythingthat is hilarious
Demasiado tiempo para sacar una simple bomba de combustible
Kool beans I'm having tht issue. Thanks for the info 💯💪🏿
I love very specific solutions for common problems. Someday you're gonna turn some guys subframe Saturday into a 10 minute solution. Much respect 💯
Thanks, that is the goal
Do you need to drain the coolent first? Cause you didn't do that in the video
No I didn’t but you are going to lose some coolant when you take off the top hose, but not much.
@ also you really didn’t show how you got the long bolt out from the alternator I have an idea how you did it but it was still lil confusing
@ you just push it through and it comes out of the back of the alternator
@ yea I figured tried to hand torque it but not enough room ima need a drill
@ this job should be able to be able to be completed with just a ratchet and some wrenches
Hahaha the new crafter also has the phone killer 😢
You cut a lot of the video out
i think i found the original guy
Awesome video bro, I am an automotive engineer and I've had my share of fixing car ever since I was in HS. My wife's car is having temp sensor error but I will take it to the my friend's garage to get it done. This is too much for me to burn a day on this. Your video showed me how to do it and at least I can over see the work. Many thanks bud
I’m glad you found this video helpful! I highly recommend changing the thermostat while you are doing this job it can cause the same symptoms. m.ruclips.net/video/ZaR_rQJYqbM/видео.html
I think RUclips is listening to me. I’m about to drop my front diff so I can pull the pan and timing cover. Thankfully I have access to a lift and transmission jack at work or else I wouldn’t dream of doing what I’m about to do tomorrow 😂 You don’t need to drop the whole steering rack, just the idler arm bracket and some wiggling will get the front diff out
If it anit broke dont fix it.
Does not raise when doors and bonnet are open
I eventually figured that out!
Thank you so much! I was incredibly frustrated trying to solve the problem... and it turned out I only needed to close the bonnet. Unbelievable! I’d been changing the mechanism, removing it, putting the old motor back, checking the fuses, testing the relay, disconnecting the battery... I actually thought about closing the bonnet, but of course, I didn’t close it properly, so it didn’t work. (When you lack the right info but think you know what you’re doing, you end up working five times harder!)😅😅😅
Perfect vid coincidentally mines sound the same
im sure you don’t have to break it
Looks like a coupling to me
How much cost that repair?
