When Parts Are Past The Return Date.
From the unproduced file, this video highlights one of the issues you may face dealing with after market and non warranty parts in the pursuit of the performance/ old car, anything mechanical hobby. This can especially happen when you buy the parts you know your going to need in the future and shelve them until the day comes when you actually install them only to find it is not right or just dosen't fit as advertised plus the free return period expired along with any warranty, if any, last year! But with a little bit of step back take another look, a little thought and some scrap pieces of wood, you can just about overcome any obstacle!

@speedfreak8200 Yes! They love coming into the garage overtime they visit!
Supposedly it won’t freeze. They said to use around 20% ammonia which will have a freezing point around -75 degrees.
On my experience, the mixture has never frozen likely due to fairly mild temperatures here and jsut the properties of the ammonia. The same recipe with a cup of isopropyl alcohol acts as a deicer with different result based on spray nozzle and conditions. One of my cars has a fine wide spray pattern that freezes on the windshield no doubt due to rapid evaporation of alcohol, wind speed, temperature of the glass, especially before inside heat and outside air temperature. Alcohol evaporates fairly quickly in the container, its vented, and should be toped off from time to time. With isopropyl, it may not freeze but turn into a slush at low temperatures. I've found that underhood heat keeps the solution liquid even in freezing conditions. This woud be especially true for@bsg1292 driving a tractor trailer that is usaually idling when parked in cold weather. My reading research says menthonal in a half and half solution is the best for not freezing but I have never used it. Thanks for the great comments and input!
That would freeze in my area in the winter.
Damn, thanks Man...I'm a save alot of money using this mixture in my semi-truck..!
Exactly my friend! Be safe driving out there!
Good video! Thanks. Gonna do this on my 98 s10
@@aleon117 your welcome! Thanks for watching!
Better to break a drill outside the block than deep in a hole. It's noce to see someone doing a Mustang II, my favorite of them all.
@allhailinternalcombustion So true! I chucked up the broken piece, finished the front oil return and the returns on the head! Win, win!
''Lamborghini Mechanic,'' that guy needs to stop it.
Definitely!
That is ''attention to detail'' on your Engine, I noticed you put casters on the base of your shop fan, that's a cool idea.
@FABRIC8TIONUNLIMITE1 yes. Makes moving it around so much easier. Just don't lube the wheels!
@@FABRIC8TIONUNLIMITE1 Thanks for your comment!
I can bet my left nut it was autozone lol
It's like they say, A hard head makes a soft ass. Excuse my language. Your a good man who tried to do a good thing. Sometimes all you can do is sit back and let them make there mistakes, and hopefully after they've made a few they'll come back and ask, "What was that thing you were saying that time?" That's the reward. Keep doing what you do Willie Sweet, and thank you for your videos.
To quote the movie Cool Hand Luke, " Some men you just can't reach,,,,"
Cool!
Well done!
That one got me. Being 55 years old and from the rural south, I have occasionally run into to people who were illiterate mostlyolder farmers. They way you handled those situations was perfect. With dignity and respect. Every wants respect seldom give it. Nice lesson sir well done!
@johnwhorton6870 Thank you John. Treating people this way has been a hallmark of my life .
That's nuts! However, an engine vs. a motor... ehhh, even comparison? Super fast though...

Glad to see you doing well my friend. Looking forward to seeing the car finished up
hope you are still doing well, I have a Medtronics device in my chest about the size of a cigarette butt. It's only there to monitor my heart rate. My doctor tells me the battery is probably dead as it was installed over ten years ago.
I am well, thanks! Beginning to push physical boundaries to build endurance.
