If the induced voltage is low, isn't that a good thing? Why would the booster transformer be removed because of low induced voltage?
Very informative and well done video explaining this very challenging area of electrical engineering and design. I will study this in depth and like others have said, the excel calculation sheet would be a very handy tool if you would be willing to share. My question to you is what are the electrical hazards that exist if the underground cables need to be excavated, by hand digging, to correct a problem of cable pulling out of the link box? The supports were insufficient in the original design so the intent of the company is to keep the substation energized, excavate the entire area under the elevated substation, expose all of the energized 110kV single core cables and attempt to secure them correctly this time. The cable run is relatively short, <0.5 km, single core 400mm XLPE cable w/lead sheath and the link box SVL single point grounding. I am concerned for worker safety during the excavation on top of the energized 110kV cables, as well as the large amount of civil/structural work needed to build the cable support stands all while the 240+ HV cables are energized. All the current supplied to train via OHL flows through rail+ground (return path) between 2 ATTs. It's not almost "0" amps
