Convert Art, one of the earliest upcycling companies in Greece, was founded in 2012 by a girl whose heart beat faster for cars and motorcycles. Wandering into a garage piled high with abandoned tires, Marina Griponisioti fell in love with the material and even with its imagined stories, and embarked with relish on a successful career designing and making bags, accessories, jewelry, and all manner of stylish wearable gear out of used inner tubes, tires, electrical materials, bits of wood and aluminum.
