Fun detail, Prushka's hair were turned permanently curly after surviving a rather bad run in with the 5th layer curse. Riko's mom, Lyza similarly has permanent and rather rigid curls in her hair, hinting that she also survived a bad run in with the curse of the 5th layer.
I would like to add what the real life inspiration for this might be... some people who go through chemo... when their hair grows back it's all 'whirly twirly' and they experienced what is known as chemo curls.

It's in the title, dude. But if you're asking where it appears in Made in Abyss' OSTs then this is actually a cover version by Takeshi Saitou who is the insanely skilled vocalist on many of Kevin Penkin's Made in Abyss anime's godlike OSTs.
This TestAMV has potential but I would also be slow in release and slow in production if I were this much of a prefectionist in editing and all of the scenes clipped here just like the last AMV of Made in Abyss Hanazave Caradhina was Biblical
I've just realized that the village of Iruburu would be literally the perfect economic system for Bondrewd considering how readily he parted with, experimented on and killed the children he brought into the abyss, despite the fact that he actually loved them. It meant that he could easily make and abandon things or people of very high value to him. Especially with him having a huge amount of the most valuable resource in the village except Faputa (that resource being children of course). If he ever tried selling some of the children he got from the surface in Iruburu, he'd quickly become the wealthiest man or hollow in the village's history. Just sayin'
I can honestly say that this extremely well-made edit managed to perfectly capture the disturbing beauty of the Abyss and its adventurers. Thank you for doing such a thorough job with this. ✨🔥
You know I just realized the brilliance of hot air balloon as a message courier in the Abyss. In the manga it was stated briefly that the balloons are coated in the musk of creatures in the Abyss to prevent it being attacked, but never stated WHICH creature. I used to wonder which creature is so strong that the musk can ward off many creatures on the way up with invariable efficacy. The truth is, it doesn't matter. The way the Abyss is designed is that the creatures gets stronger the deeper you go. However, the balloon only GOES UP. So all you have to do is grab any nearest creature in your current layer that you don't see in the previous layer, like any creature at all, and you're good to go. Because ANY creature at all around you is automatically stronger than every creature on the layers above. The musk trick wouldn't do much good to humans ascending from a delve because the Curse doesn't care about animal musk, but since all a hot air balloon should worry about are the creatures, it wouldn't give a shit about the Curse and continue to ascend to bring the message safely. I bet these air balloons are also how Bonedrewd can communicate with Orth and send his research reports or newfound artifacts

I admit that I too was moved by certain parts of this anime....but it is one of the most beautiful and pure anime I have seen in at least the last 6 or 7 years
