Superb acting. Both actresses conveyed the depth of feeling each character had for one another. At the same time, I understand why Esti remained with her husband, especially with a child coming. Very difficult decisions!

I think that the couple chosen for this movie is based on the couple of Lena Headey and Piper Perabo, (Weiz would be Lena and Piper Rachel Mcadams) of the movie Imagine me and you "although it is very tender and pink and this is very raw and dramatic "Lena and Piper were a couple that I liked very much, and I think they looked for that with Duo Rachel. Even though the plots are different they coincide a lot. One of them is married, falls in love with a woman, has an internal struggle, the husband is absolutely adorable and good,they divorce, the girls fight, the moment of reconciliation and of course the liberation (exit of the closet) of the central character (in the other the character of Piper who is also called Rachel XD that here would be Rachel Mcadams) ruclips.net/video/B_alv7E4RBo/видео.html

P F I’m serious...it’s a Jewish way showing grief...you can look it up. I’m not Jewish but I do know that from the Bible (Old Testaments) and some books I’ve read.
bluesteel1310 - Thank you. 😊 Like they say, you learn something every day. I was not doubting you. Just thought you were was trying to be funny. People do that a lot on RUclips. Btw. I watched this movie and really enjoyed it. The story was so real and very interesting. Acting was superb, by the entire cast.
P F I watched this movie three times in the theatre and five times streaming...I love the open interpretation in the end. My take on it is that they will get together later once Esti resolves her leaving Dovid. My version of a happy ending I suppose.

This movie was sad. Why did she leave her behind? I would have taken her with me and away from that unwanted life.
I believe Esti was just patching some things up so she didn't immediately went with Ronit. They even promised each other that they will see each other again (Damn, that still sounds sad haha) but yeah, Esti said she'll tell Ronit where she'll be. Anyway I'm gonna read the book to have more insight haha

Real lesbians would be together this minute! Ha! But, these are wiser women now; one with a baby coming, a husband, a job to quit....another in NY, tho, in an apartment? She threw all that aside and said, "Be with me." Esti knows that. And it seems to me watching it over and over Ronit is one hot babe knowing she doesn't feel anything like this with anyone else. She would not let this go, imo. :)
