What's your thoughts on the current state of the game updates? I have over 500 hours in build 41, I really want to start playing again but the devs keep teasing the next update and the feeling of it being just around the corner is keeping me from starting a new playthrough because the new update would not work with the current saves.

pro tip: wooden spears are actually slightly more durable then crafted spears according to the project zomboid wiki, instead of having a base condition lower chance of 1/2 at 0 spear and 0 maintenance they have a 1/4 condition lower chance at 0 maintenance and 0 spear, at 10 spear and 10 maintenance the crafted spear has a 1/16 condition lower chance while the wooden spear has 1/18 condition lower chance, not a big difference but can be useful if you collect alot of em
