Back on stage percussionist, composer, arranger and archivist Daniel Bellegarde presents Pastourelle, the second album in his trilogy, blending his Haitian roots with Celtic and Braziliian musical influences. Following on from the success of his 1st album Anba Tonel, Pastourelle take us on a journey through time, offering a personal and contemporary vision of this music, enriched by original compositions. It is also a reflection on the theme of metissage and the 19th century relations of power and injustice between Europe and Africa.
