Short demo of the 1996 Lego Technic Space Shuttle model.
I’m doing this puzzle for 2 days, do you have any advice plz ?
Ciao come hai incollato il tutto
muy bueno, felicitaciones
I like the Maps. 5000 pieces 😍👍
Hey congratulations! Thats was Epic! I need some help I recently found an old old puzzle Same plan i mean the Same drawing and i couldnt find any info about it Its 1000 pieces schmidt puzzle ancient map of the world 655x478
Admit it, you're jealous
Nice job!!!
Nice job! That looked like a tedious start. Surprised the oceans were easier than the continents and colored scenes. I was thinking about this one but have decided to do something with less tan. I already have a 4k piece Mapa Mundi 1375 and that's perhaps enough antique tan cartography for one lifetime, haha.
Just started this masterpiece but already feel overwhelmed! Any tips? 🙄
Sorting for me is key. I arrange by the detail, color, etc and then by piece cut/shape. You can kind of see this in the video when I use the second table to sort pieces on.
Currently doing it with BF. Sorting is key to not be too overwhelmed and even so it will be overwhelming. We sorted all shapes, then sorted those shapes according to their place (like ocean in one pile, land in other piles, single colours, multiple colours etc). Put down the edges and work your way from there doing easy parts first (we started with the colours for a laugh - it is not easy to do those)
Wow, is amazing :) I just finished mine too :D Can you give me more details about how you displayed it? Thanks :D
I put links in the description to positionable mounting adhesive. I flip the puzzle by sandwiching it between foam core. Then apply the adhesive to the back of the puzzle and attach foam core to it. Then I found a local framing company to make the custom sized frame to place the mounted puzzle into.
We finish the garden of delights 9000 pieces Educa. I hace a video in our Channel how we made it
Does anyone know what can I do if I lose 3 pieces of this puzzle?
You are done.

Good job my friend. I just finish a puzzle of 13200 piece too. You can check on my channel.
Nice! I remember going to the Toys'r'Us when I was a kid and dreamed of owning one of these.
Hehe, my mom and dad were both worried my brother couldn't built this one and I couldn't built the model I wanted to buy (I think we were 10 or something), we basically were both fine up until some of the last parts building it which required holding parts close to each other while connecting them together. Saw a girl in a toy story a while back glancing at one of those really big towing trucks Technic Lego has nowadays, and her dad was like "I am afraid I would have to help you a lot to built it" and I saw her mom standing a couple of meters further away getting a look on her face like "Hold on...you never ever complained nor hesitated helping her build one of those models?"
I would like to have that puzzle so bad...
I know measurements for puzzle, but what size plywood are you using?
How many pieces are edges
284
Holy shit dads lego is cooler then mine
Do you have movie with submarine?
No, but that's a good idea! I haven't put the set together in a few years so that would be a fun reason to.
What are de measures of the puzzle?
153 x 101cm or ~60" x 40"
Thank you!
@@lithium. Hi hello, is it possible that the measurements are a bit off? When i finished the puzzle i am measuring 154 instead of 153. Can you please confirm?
Man, I remember seeing this kit on the shelves when I was a kid and could only dream of building it due to it's price. There was just so many Lego sets that I missed when I was young that I can only look back at now.
oh man this thing was all my childhood in one lego set right there
I still have this set. I don’t think i will trade this for anything. Currently it is in submarine mode now (which is great on its own)
sealed its worth a fortune
I still have this set I just don't have the actual space shuttle built. This was my first ever Lego Technic set, I got it back in 2001 and was a joy to me while I was building it. Unfortunately the one I got has some missing parts, I first turned it to a attack shuttle then to smaller army vehicles, now the final model I built out of this set is sitting in my closet dusty. I did tried finding one completely brand new but costs a fortune to buy, about 3 - 4 brand new flagship Technic sets. Now if I can just turn back time.
is their a way to make the spaceship remotely controled
A lot of features!
i have this
This model has lost all cheramic thermal tiles. You can't enter to atmosphere with this toy.
You can, it's called deadly reentry lol
Rest in pieces
Still have this Lego Shuttle :) I wish I still had the instructions some pieces are off and i have no clue where they go haha. Good to see other people loved this thing I had a lot of fun building this.
Give these a try: lego.brickinstructions.com/lego_instructions/set/8480/Space_Shuttle
Holy freakin nostalgia! Has it really been 18 years?!?! I remember waking up on my 9th birthday to find this at the foot of my bed...I literally sh!t myself over how big the box was. But I also remember how difficult it was to build (I was 9, cut me some slack lol). The first time I completed it none of the moving parts worked and I was totally devastated, my old man helped me take it apart then build it up properly from scratch...the optic fibers blew my mind back then... wow. great trip down memory lane
I still have mine too :) got it when I was 6, it was on sale I think. Its the first Technic model i got.
I wanted it so much when I was a kid!
I'm not a kid, but I still want it.
I wish I had this set as a kid as I would had loved it. I thought from looking at the pictures in the catalogue that the gearbox would also electricity switch witch motor it uses & also have the big motor used for the landing gears as well. Still looks like a neat kit & I wished I had one. "edit" Looks at ebay & YIKES! They expect me to pay that whopping much? Get Real you guys, I'm not paying anywhere near that much.
In 1996, the set retailed for about $158.00. It is extremely hard to find in excellent or unopened condition anymore. Last time I checked it was about $300 for this quality of a set. Also, a year or two ago I had to purchase some replacement parts as the gears and axle caps are becoming quite brittle. Also, be sure if you buy a used set that it includes the stickers. A new sticker set is $20+. All this and more can be found on BrickLink: www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=8480
its lego, they last foreva
I did have this one :) And it was an amazing thing to play with.
I got this set at a garage sale for $5, does anyone know how to get the battery pack open?
Finally got it!
i respect you sir! thats a great classic set . great job! check my page too
thats so epic
I'm impressed!!
I have that set! I even have the box that came with it!
OH MY GOD I USED TO HAVE THAT SET AND IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!
Man, I wanted that set so bad when I was a kid! My parents thought that it was too expensive (which it was!), and I of course could never afford it. It's still awesome after all these years :)
I have this set.
i built it but i took out all the wiring because i messed it up :(
I have one of these, BEST lego set ever!
yea i still have mine this set rules
I just put mine together this week after it's been sitting for over 10 years.
I have this, it's the most awesome Technic Lego thing ever.
