Hal doesnt get the differents viewers of ALGS care about the streamer playing not ranked it self . Makeing ranked hard will throw out your biggest playerbase . Harder ranked games only profit a insanely small playerbase aka Hal/Pro players but 99% dont ever think about wanting to be anywere near Pro level that woud kill Ranked Q times for the majority of players

Remove sbmm from ranked. Ranked is the skill level. Doesn’t make sense that a high skill players has to play high skilled from bronze and up. Then you get to diamond and you get low elo diamond players who have been carried all the way up, and sbmm put them into your team for team balancing, so you get 2 low skill players to balance out your high skill. Then you get dumped on by preds because you are in a high skill ranked lobby.

He doesn't understand that people enjoy watching gladiators fight they don't want to get stabbed though. S13 was reverted because people hated how absurdly difficult it was to the point most people were hardstuck gold. The system we have now is fine. It's for people that want to dip their toes in the competitive waters. Im hoping they make ranked rumble mode a way to lock yourself at a rank to practice against tough opponents without risking your points.

I like istening to Hal's opinions mostly. But this just goes to show how disjointed he is about the overall issues of Apex. Sure people wnat to watch good people, but not only competitive. People want engagements. They want to talk to you, the streamer and for tou to reply. There's many many many average good people out there who have viewers because of this engagement. I mean sure a lot will still watch algs etc but just not streamers. Apex is at its lowest because they ain't fixing anything. So who wants to play let alone watch it. The audio is shocking this season, cheaters are out of control, battlepass greed, still woeful matchmaking amongst other things. They really need to address these issues or they will just continue to lose players. This isn't my opinion, this is actually what happens to me and what I'm doing right now.

Just make diamond and above solo que only, no 3 stacking.

They have to make it solo q only in higher ranks to make it more competitive. A squad of pros will always dominate the lobby

80% of their kills were either plat or diamond players. This in itself is the problem. If there are not enough people playing ranked no matter how good the ranked system is, it is near impossible to make fair match making. In all my years of playing this game, I have never had to fight this many masters/preds as a diamond player and this is true for soloQ, duoQ and triple stack. Quite literally one of the hardest seasons Ive ever played. The ranked system as is right now is not that bad, it rewards players for playing both position and kp. Really what we need are modes or changes to bring in a larger influx of people. We need modes that help people learn and practice the full mechanics of the game before they play ranked. Modes that focus on weapon skill, map/poi knowledge, and teamwork are what we need. So far we only have modes that only lean towards weapon skill. I know many dislike COD for their repetitive game releases, but they’ve long since nailed making several modes that rely on different aspects of gameplay. Battle royale cannot be the only thing apex is good in to succeed

I love how he says it needs to be competitive while three stacking with other pro players. ranked is fine aside from soft cheaters. They just need to make entry cost lower for solo q players or just bring back arenas which was a fair 3v3 which team is better.

majority of people arent that good at the game and what was interesting about apex is the movement and how skilled u need to be to do it, now u had a decade of aim assist one clipping people who tap-strafe which is so boring to watch and people already uninstalled the game and moved on (since the seer meta for me). btw this is the same thing happened to cod mw2 2008/2009 when people liked the game specifically for the trick shot then activision released mw3 and they nerfed swapping ur gun (they nerfed trick shot) i quit fps games at that time because video games simply supposed to be fun thats all not everyone trying to be competitive a lot of people want to relax and troll and hit nice clips to brag about it to their friends.

They need another "ranked" mode. They could have normal BR ranked and a separate Ranked 6v6 mode, kinda how Overwatch or Halo has there's. Cycle through 3 modes in the new ranked mode and have new interesting ranked rewards.

They need to STOP listening to pros and just make apex actually fun to play. Not to watch.almost all the new changes of the past 10 seasons pros demanded made the game objectively less fun. And with the state of ranked wether PC or console. Wether its 12 manning,wall hacks or rage hacks,it will just make even less people try it. Its already quite difficult to solo q master given the cheating situation. Respawn meed to focus on banning cheaters and making more guns viable instead of making 100 players get more viewers on streams smh.

The root of the problem is very simple, its much harder to have a competitive lobby with 60 players compared to a 5v5 game like LoL or Valo Cs ect. I don't know if people are ready to wait 15 minute in queue for a game like that where you can die 3 minutes into the game. Its not as simple as he is making it to be.
