I have an old drone I no longer use so I thought I would try and use the camera without the motors and body to make my own wi-fi camera for my boats. Photos show what I used from drone plus printed a case for the pc board. Short video recorded on my phone with camera app on my pond with INCA moored up by my bonsai tree and a trip to Freeman's Falls.

Maiden voyage for my tug, sorry about poor camera work but I only have two hands, one for the tug, one for the camera.

First trial on open water 8 lb lead ballast, still more detail work to do but couldn't resist trying out, goes well

Purchased as non runner on EBay only needed to clean points and plug, now working clearing weeds and long grass from horse paddock

No safety gear-if it goes wrong it'll be ugly-idiot!
One of my student jobs in the 70s, cutting overgrown areas for the local council, using their old Allen scythe. Hideously dangerous, as the blade ran continuously with the engine. Later models had two levers, one to activate the drive, the other, fail safe, to activate the blade.

Nice mod, you may want to look into chemically blackening the new pickup rig.
My dad had one in the 70’s, it was a gas to operate. Scary blade action. But the power was awesome.
