I´ve had a few recent requests for this, so here is a rough, but quick description of how to accompany yourself with fiddle tunes, French-Canadian sing-alongs, etc. www.joseevachon.com
Didn't know there was such a thing. Now I Love it❤️
Very nice tapping with your nice shoes from 1996.

J'aime j'ai fait de la danse classique et contemporaine et j'ai toujours été curieuse sur cette chose ? Comment s'appelle entre la bretonne avec ses sabots et la danse irlandaise 😉
I grew up in a Metis community in southern Saskatchewan in the 1950s and that rhythm is one I heard every time music erupted in our homes or at community events. Such warm memories it makes my heart ache. Your personality reminds my so much of many of the older francophone folks in our little village and the surrounding area (older when I was a wee one ~ seems young now :-) ). So precious! Thank you, sister!
Thanks so much! I can relate. Whenever any genre of music plays that gets me emotional, I find myself doing this tapping! It’s part of our makeup! Glad it brought warm memories for you 👍
My mother tells me her father was a good step dancer. He died many years before I was born, and this made me think of him. Thank you. I will try it tomorrow. It is past midnight now. Too late for those sleeping in my house! 😅
Love it! Thank you so much for the explanation. As an ancestral Quebecois, I try to understand my roots, and this is a common thread in so much musique Quebecoise. It even appears in that charming video Crac! by Frederic Back. Now I'm going to practice.
Merci!!! Je cherchais beaucoup pour ça.
Great foot tapping 👍👍👍👍
Great foot tapping on hardwood floor 👍👍👍👍👍
What is the song you sang alongggg time ago ay autumnfest in Woonsocket RI about comparing the states to Canada?!? I was maybe 10 and I loved it!
Hi Jeanne, just saw your message! I think it was the song I wrote called "Entre moi", using my name with the 2 national anthems? Nice that you remember that! Appreciate it!
Vraiment bonne!
Bravo Josée!
Love it!
Thank you for the comments! I had not gone back to look at this space in a while! I'll reply to each question individually. Merci!
What songs are you singing? The titles I mean? I love them!!!
La destinée la rose au bois, V'la l'bon vent, and Sur la grande côte are the 3 sample songs I used. You should be able to find lyrics online, but contact me if you can't find them.
@@cevonmusique Thank you so much!! I love them all.
Awesome love it!! what are the lyrics to the song you are singing though? if its an actual song please tell me the name! im doing a school project on francophone culture.

Nice...curious can you improvise tapping to jazz music
Not sure it would be quite the same beat! I do tend to do this tapping when I´m listening to other music that lends itself to it (I love to do it to Puerto Rican plenas, for example)!
Very impressive Josee!
I say you about 20 yrs ago in Waterville Maine. I enjoyed your music and your personality very much. I still do. You also helped cultivate some appreciation for my own French Canadian background.
Thank you Josee. I've enjoyed your music since I was a teenager in the JCT. Your brother was an alter boy with my brothers :) Keep up the awesome work!
Is Kilmer your maiden name?
@@joseevachon385 My maiden name is Ducas. My brothers were altar boys during Father Martel's time. Really miss that timeframe of my life.
thanks for the lesson Josee! You make it look so easy.
It is! Trust me; it just takes practice and keeping it light. Don't try to life your legs so high that you tire out quicker than need be :D
