Second to none.
I was stationed in Ft. Stewart from 2000-2003. Before the new barracks were built the stanard of living for soldiers on base was poor. It seems like the base normalized poor standars of living when conditions started to get bad. That is why we are where we are. This is yet another reason why individuals will not end list or re-enlist in the military. If you're asking a person to be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their country, the military should at the very least, should ensure duty stations are apporpriate for living. I'm not saying a five-star Resort, but basic amenities and maintence is not too much to ask for. Hell this would cause public outrage If this was people in in detention camps or in Prison, so why would they think this is appropriate for soldiers?
Y’all don’t know about OG task force 1-28 lol never see your family

I lived there as a kid in the 80s. I hate being a civilian. I want to go back.

Good luck, soldier!!
Stanley sucketh, slim shady
still wish i went to this school love you diamond!
My great grandfather was attached to this division as a s/sgt and tank commander of the 756th company C. Listening to his audio tapes is heavy but love to get any information I can find! He earned a silver star in Stambach Germany. There he and a small unit of the 3rd took the town in their own. Only to be shelled by our own artillery that came late. He jumped upon an infantry soldier injured by shrapnel and laid on him in the middle of the town until the artillery ended.
God Bless!! ❤
And they violate your 1st Ammendment rights.

So many memories!
I was s4 with the 1/64
I was stationed there in the early to mid 2000's the barracks were brand new. But I could see this happening. The rooms were built way too fast and had no ventilation. AC with inadequate drains and showers with little to no exhaust vents.
My Dad Sgt Manny Guapo Served With The 7th Regiment of the 3rd Infantry Division In The North African Campaign , Sicily , Italian and The Campaign In France 1944 🇫🇷 Dad Called That The Liberation Of France !!! We were feared in 2003. Anyone that had the blue strips! Then 4id came in thinking they could take over. But they couldn’t no one was scare of them.they called us demons with a with a soft heart. I Remember when the 4id came to take over a pump station. We told them they would throw basket ball size balls over and we would throw them back over. The 4rd didn’t listen.
You made the worse video ever. After this i wish i could rip the 3id patch off my arm and off my uniforms

I’m not happy my husband just got order to go to Stewart for 3 years.
I’m nervous my husband just got his orders to be station there.
ahhh.. Black Lions... where you at? Singing this in that open field by battalion HQ in Stewart, with the two tank battalions. Colonel Stone saying,. "it's great to be out here with a bunch of hairy chested infantrymen" lol Tankers being like, what about us?? lol Wouldn't trade those days. People watch Band of Brothers and come out thinking the 506th is the best regiment in the whole US Army. Enter 15th Infantry... good times. "I Wouldn't Give A Bean To Be A Fancy Pants Marine I'd Rather Be A Dog Face Soldier Like I Am I Wouldn't Trade My Old OD's For All The Navy's Dungarees For I'm The Walking Pride Of Uncle Sam I'm Just A Dog Face Soldier With A Rifle On My Shoulder And I Eat Raw Meat For Breakfast E'V'RY Day So Feed Me Ammunition Keep Me In Third Division Your Dog Face Soldier's A-Okay"
Y’all should bring back the woodland camo for the Sepv3
Did two deployments with 3rd ID in 1-64 armor from 2004-2008. The level of leadership incompetence and unprofessionalism I saw way back then almost boggled my mind. The day I left that division and got Out of the army was the greatest day of my life. Can’t even imagine how bad it is today.
Ha! Was 1st support Div.3ID Germany in '86-89. We all thanked God there was no war then cause we all truly believed our NCOs and Officers would have got us killed.🙄 Our battalion commander was Jerry Harville and we were all " Jerry's Kids" Ha! I learned a lot and am sooo glad I served!❤👊 Rock if the Marne!... .....my ass reaming never ends!😂😂😂
@@abbywinters7751 I don’t think you fully realize how negative my comment was. I have nothing inc common with you. Fuck the army, fuck 3rd ID and fuck your positive attitude.
@@abbywinters7751I think you missed the point of my comment entirely. It was a terrible experience, terrible leadership, worthless actually. Say I left was best day of my life. Screw 3ID.
@@haveaday1812 Sorry to hear it. Nothing is easy in the military but we made the best of it. I was lucky there were no wars. I'm just thankful for my army training and know it's helped me to be better than I would have been without it. Take the best and forget the rest! And Rock on!
Absolutely loved this song, and what it represents. I am Pvt Johnson Ronald L 1976-1979. Kitzingen Germany. D-10-E. And proud of it. I don't usually listen to this type of music. The only reason is not being able to understand the lyrics. Can't say that about this song. All this song needs is shared.
Hey, American, whatever is happening, I am sure you're actually doing the job. So, God bless you.
Rock of the Marne!!!
Rock of the Marne.
Two of my uncles served in the 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion. It was not organic to the 3rd ID, but was so habitually attached to it that its men wore the 3rd ID patch. My Uncle Jack was wounded in the spine by shell fragments during the fighting in the Colmar pocket, about a week before Audie Murphy earned his MOH firing a machine gun from the rear deck of a knocked out tank destroyer from the 601st. He spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Thank you, for his Service & Sacrifice ❤

Ain’t did shit
That is sad
I walk through every once and while just to admire. It's a great memorial.
Thank you for an excellent episode on a great US division. Several years ago, I purchased a book online on the history of the 3rd Infantry Division during WWII. I knew the 3rd was Audie Murphy’s division. Reading through the MOH citations from the 3rd, I decided what Audie Murphy did was very heroic but it was far from the most remarkable act of heroism. The Italian campaign gets overlooked a lot by many Americans. Because of the terrain in Italy, it was a meat grinder all through the war. Weather, especially in the north, was terrible. The landings in Normandy were vital to get the second front open but the US Army in Italy suffered some of the most casualties there during the war. Never forget the sacrifices that the Allied personnel suffered in Italy!
Not that is a recruitment video.

While our planet heats up even faster and our own pentagon admits that the military could collapse by 2040 due to climate change. But hoorah or whatever right?
Um what? Wait I’m confused. Climate change is going to collapse the military ? I don’t understand..
The climates been changing since the beginning of time.. in 1924 they predicted the world would be too populated to support life by the 1980s.. they predicted the ice caps would be melted and we would all be dead by now. But the truth is that we am more well fed then anytime in history, and less people are dying of natural disasters. The planet is fine. It will be fine. Don’t get caught up in that useless ideation. And unless we invade China and stop their production we can’t put a dent in decreasing the worlds “greenhouse gas” production. It’s not worth worrying about.
Most of the time at Campbell the room inspections weren’t for mold they were just an excuse for ncos to power trip and make up fake regs.
I never had this type of introduction to being new to the division, my two duffle bags was stolen from the 5 ton during my reception phase, was told to load bags my bags into the 5 ton after getting issued my gear from cif. The 5 ton was to go directly to the barracks and drop bags off to the soldiers who just got their issued gear. I told them I don’t stay at the barracks I have a house off post, I can just load them into my car that was 50ft away and go home as that was closing of the day after signing for your gear. They insisted all my gear get thrown into the 5 ton. So following orders. Get to the barracks to get my gear as I followed the 5 ton. The whole 30 of us was getting our bags from the 5 ton. I only received one duffel bag and my Ruck sack. Two duffels were missing and know where to be seen. I immediately went to the NCO in charge of the detail and said to don’t worry about it, it’s around we will find it. Next day before formation I ask about it again and was told to ask after formation and I did, was told to take it up with the unit I get to….that day we get our orders of what unit we will be reporting to. I get to my unit and I inform my team leader and nco once I get put into a platoon. At the end after everything was said and all could be done for me, I end up having $1,200 come out of my next paycheck and a verbal/written counseling from my LT. What a way to start a career going into your first unit in the army being gouged for over a grand. Welcome to Ft.Stewart! The black hole! March-April of 2009
