What an interesting location! I would like to shoot at a place like that as well. I always have stress when I have a model photoshoot. Even if I prepare myself as good as I can, when I am photographing, I go blank. Even if I have a mood board and certain examples with me on sites like Pinterest, when I’m actually shooting the stress is so much that I can’t get it quite right. It’s one of the reasons I don’t do it as much as I once did.

Wow, that is a pretty nifty lens! Very handy that it has also a manual aperture ring. That’s something I miss on other lenses as well, especially when I’m using my macro bellow that hasn’t any electric thingies to control the manual focus and the aperture. Also, nice location! I especially liked the photo with the reflection in the floor.

Daar zaten best mooie foto’s tussen. Onlangs was ik op zoek gegaan naar een andere telefoon, aangezien ik daar ook mijn video’s mee opneem, maar dat was nog niet makkelijk. Op je Instagram zocht ik welke telefoon jij gebruikt, maar die is toch wat ver boven mijn budget 😅 Uiteindelijk ben ik voor de Google Pixel 7a gegaan, in combinatie met een abonnement, zodat ik wat kon spelen met eenmalige aanschaf en maandelijkse kosten. De foto kwaliteit zou uitstekend zijn van die telefoon, maar wat video betreft, dat moet ik nog uitgebreid testen. Ik zou er eventueel een video van kunnen maken, waar ik de camera uitgebreid test, maar weet niet of dat interessant is om te zien. In elk geval was het leuk om weer even digitaal met je op pad te gaan in de bossen van België.

Ik heb een oudere versie van Photoshop, dus ik heb de AI nog niet! Lijkt me wel leuk ermee te spelen

Very interesting! I never heard of the program before. I did shoot film back in the days. I developed film myself at school, in black and white. Later I did a lot of Lomography and I loved to cross-process the film by shooting slide film and develop it as normal negatives. The program certainly gives a very nice analog effect. If you like the look of film, but wants the convenience of digital, this is definitely an option, but shooting film has it’s charm, especially if you like to develop yourself, or like to shoot with vintage camera’s like the ones I have on my shelf (Maybe you saw them in my video’s during the intro’s, they still work). So the diehard film photographers won’t go digital soon I’m afraid.

Haha lol, so much mosquito’s we’re decapitated by the great drone accident of 2023. I know, social media totally sucks! Especially Instagram. I hardly get more than 30 likes on a photo since I started in 2017. The only reason I’m still creating is because both my husband and I are “sick” at home without a paying job, and art and photography is the only way I feel somewhat useful for the world. Art keeps me busy and out of a depression, and although I can’t create that much, and I don’t have that much response, I sometimes hear that I inspired other people to do some stuff and that’s the best feeling. Social media totally sucks, but if you indeed just do what you like, that’s the best thing ever. Good luck with your projects in the future, I really missed you!

How is the performance when editing/multitasking. Have you had any issues, high swap memory usage/slowdowns etc?

Dank je wel Yoshi, dat was nuttige informatie. Ik wil wat meer buiten gaan fotograferen, maar de beeldstabilisatie van mijn telefoon waar ik al mijn video’s mee op neem is waardeloos. In plaats van naar een nieuwe camera kijken, ga ik binnenkort maar eens op zoek naar een gimbal.

Yoshi Yoshi, wat had jij een pech! Je hele vakantie in isolatie en dat op zo’n prachtige plek! Ik hoop dat je inmiddels volledig bent opgeknapt en dat Covid geen sporen heeft nagelaten op je gezondheid. Af en toe een urban video klinkt goed! Daar ben ik wel benieuwd naar. Wat betreft de vermelding van camera settings… ze zijn niet altijd nodig, maar wellicht handig voor mensen die een soortgelijke foto willen maken. Ze kunnen dan denken, Oh, die foto vind ik mooi, welk diafragma en brandpuntsafstand heeft hij gebruikt om tot dat resultaat te komen? Zelf vermeld ik de settings er wel altijd bij, maar ik kan me zo voorstellen dat als je 100 foto’s maakt tijdens een POV dat je ze er niet altijd bij hoeft te vermelden. Hangt wellicht van de insteek van de video af of ze van belang zijn of niet.

Verdorie Yoshi, ik krijg weer zin om naar Italië op reis te gaan 🤪, net dat ik mijn laatste dagen vakantie achter de rug heb! Goeie en snelle recup, groet Alain
