That was tight 👍
That is Karate mixed with some tai chi..that is not Buddhist Fist.
@@lesserlight Buddha Fist is the name of the form, developed by Master Tak Wah Eng
That wasn't Buddhist fist..in a gi no less...
@@lesserlight just the name of the form, not the style 😃
Very nice! Smooth flow, powerful strikes, well paced. A pleasure to watch, thank you.
@@DawnCibelli wow, 10 years ago - thank you, I appreciate the compliment
I love watching your forms Sir. They're so fluid and balanced.
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. Where do/did you train?
COME ON ANAHEIM!🖤🧡
I studied traditional kung fu in Taipei Taiwan, and later mainland, China. I also studied Kenpo Karate in Rhode Island under SGM George Pesare. I just learned this form, and I hope that I can do it someday with the same speed and elegance as the man Matthew in the video.
You are too kind, thank you. Master Tak Wah Eng's 5 Animal set is a terrific way to train!
@@obiwaugh I have learned a black tiger yet from a different lineage, and I’m going to be learning kind of re-learning snake from a different lineage. It’s just fun thing to do with the mind and body.

Really nice!
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment
Comradery..Inspiring And EnCouraging..Il Look Up More Soon..And Thanks For Filming
What the hell is he doing
Love watching your forms Sir.
Thank you very much, I appreciate and I am humbled by your comment. Watching it again, I now regret wearing my USC basketball shorts when recording it 😆
@Matthew Waugh haha I've been practicing mantis form with Walmart shorts on...whatever works!
That was a great form. I guess it is of the Shaolin Kempo Karate lineage, yet it’s rarely taught
Excellent 🏆💯
Thank you I appreciate the compliment
Truthfully that is probably the best dragon form that I have ever seen outside of the southern dragon style, this particular form in this video looks like it could be northern. But it was very well executed
Thank you 🙏🏻 the video I took more recently is a better iteration: ruclips.net/video/SRt4i_GXB0o/видео.html more clearly shows the 🐉
And here is Master Tak doing it: ruclips.net/video/LHMnxJZU0Pc/видео.html
Nicht schlecht mma verdächtig und das kung fu ist auch sehr richtig
How smooth!
Bad assery part2!
Bad assery right there!
Ok opinion: What forms would you take out of shaolin kempo as not needed. Ill go first: iron fortress, 3 pinion
Not familiar with Iron Fortress as a form. I don't mind 3 Pinan, but it's not my favorite of the 5. Good blue belt stance training. For me, 4 kata is an odd duck...but what do I know that Master Chow did not? LOL
@@obiwaugh 4 kata, teaches in clise fighting, picture you are in a phone booth, attacked not even linear, but also from 45 angles.this is 2 kata, part 2
@@shaolinwarriormark stipulated
1-4 Kata came from SGM Sonny Gascon and Walter Godin later passed onto SGM George Pesare who taught Professor Nick Cerio who was the instructor of GM Fred Villari 1-5 Pinan were added by Professor Nick Cerio
You going to cross train in fu jow pai
Master Tak's forms are near and dear to my heart. I'm working to get them back in top shape and keep them there.
@@obiwaugh alot of ussd and villari train fu jow pai with him. Joe la roque, guiseppe, fanarra, etc...
@@shaolinwarriormark I've had 2 lessons with Master Tak, also trained once with Master Kho. Really inspiring experiences, what I'd give to be closer.
glad ur still at it.
👍🏻 getting back to the grind
Good fluidity! I hate when people try to rush through a form! Crane is supposed to be practiced Half speed, fluid and form and balance! You absolutely nailed it!
Thanks, I appreciate the compliment
Branches of falling pine? Snakefist? Wounded tigers? White crane/iron crane?
Tiger Fist, from Sifu Tak Wah Eng's 5 Animal Set.
@@obiwaugh you going to post any more forms from list above
@@shaolinwarriormark I can share Branches of the Falling Pine next week
@@obiwaugh thank you. We were talking about lost leapard/golden leapard. In shaolin southern temples, they teach "golden" or "lost" Styles, meaning, deception. You take that animal style, its techniquea, and deceive for example,in the form, you are surroundwd by multiple attackers, so, how would a leapard shut them all down and destroy them all?he is hit like a whip and quick retreat. Act/deceive/ nothing feinted, but lierally speed and atracks from out of nowhere, not to be seen or expected at all.(lung ying, southern dragon boxing , starts as a mike tyson/kempo attack zig zag rise fall sink and spit, but , at higher levels, you get the "golden/lost" techniques within the style, then you realize what it means. ) That and branches, tai sing mun po pow (spelling) Sho tun kwok, hansuki, northern/southern tigers, 5 dragons utilize this deception/animal looks lost concept.when someone rushes through a form, u get the he/she is attacking feeling.when they slow it down, you see the form of the form.
What does YL stand for?
Yorba Linda (CA) 😃 I was being a bit goofy with the kiai 🐔
This is great! But where is it from?!
Our org had a weekend event, tournament followed by a Shaolin monk seminar. That is the form taught to my group - not bad for having just learned it that day, was just trying to cleanly show the movements so it wouldn’t get memory-holed. Maybe I’ll practice it again today LOL
I got to 2nd Dan with USSD, and never did learn Invincible Wall, what rank is that form?
4 months late on the reply 😆 Invincible Wall is taught to 2nd Dan’s, and a requirement for 3rd. Other req’d are Northern Tiger, Southern Tiger, and Shotung Kwak
ME IT
what an asswipe lmfao
Nice training area!
At 26 seconds, my school drops lower horse, circles are large almost scrape the floor.
When done with more energy, we do larger circles....not quite as low, but that would be worth the extra effort 👍🏻
dont hate on golden rooster!!! lol!!!
That was funny...ended up taking 1st in the tournament, but refrained from the authentic rooster kiais LOL
good form as always. looks like master tak weh form
Thank you Mark, yes it's 1 of a 5 animal set he created. Still much work to do 👊🏻
my school left ussd, but are still connected to master turner and demasco.add me on facebook and on youtube.we can chat. i only know buddahfist from nadter tak.also learbed alot from at the time 8th degree master cal carosie

Thanks for taken video for me 😎❤️
Dinger
Video was for his coach - that's what he needed to work on. He WAS relying on upper body at the time.
Do you really think that is a drop and drive? That looks more like he just stepped and threw.
Nice Zach
Thank you...still a work in progress
nice form
