Ronnie Milsap at Bridgestone Arena: Before and After

This is a very crude cell phone video, both shot by me and stitched together. One was taken before the show started at Bridgestone. Yes, I was a blubbering mess and overcome. It was some beautiful stuff shown and it was just moving. The second one I started because they were playing a song of Ronnie's that I had never heard before. I think it might be called "Once Upon a Time". It's beautiful. ...

This video was made specifically for Ronnie Milsap to hear. On October 3, 2023 he decided to perform at his final Nashville show. People came as far as England, Canada, and all over the United States to see his performance at Bridgestone Arena. My friend Denise and I came up with an idea to do a fan meetup for The Milsap Fan Blog Facebook Page. Prior to the show, Denise created 35 short videos ...

That’s my girl!
Man I’ve already mentioned this in comment after comment. Buuut this blog/channel is DA BOMB! Thank u thank u thank u.
God bless you man. Keep the videos coming. I loved Ronnie and his music practically my entire life. And he did so so many things in the 70’s and 80’s. I mean tv specials, Dick Clark shows, The Tonight Show etc etc. But it’s so hard to find this stuff on video. Appreciate ya. Love this channel or “vlog”. 👍
Thank you. I am a lady. I put up whatever I can find. Many things have been lost to time so anything I can find and put up here is a lost treasure IMO. BTW if you are on Facebook I have a corresponding Facebook page called The Milsap Fan Blog also. I update it every day and archive articles and photos and other things Ronnie there. Feel free to give it a follow if you are so inclined. (Ronnie, well his producer...just plugged my page when he drew one of my questions out of the fishbowl for Ronnie to answer on his podcast!
Man or woman thank you SO MUCH for your channel and the things you post. So glad I found this channel. Get to here live Ronnie stuff from the old days that’s just FANTASTIC. Seen him live several times all great but all the late 80s and 90’s sets. Just now hearing early stuff. It’s great👍. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Thank you. I am a woman. You are welcome. I try to find the rare stuff and post it here.
I believe this was recorded in 1981
yes it was.
However it never aired until 1988.
hi dear good job
This is a real homage -- performed in George's singing style
My dad wrote this song <3
Cool. Your dad is Troy Seals?
My dad wrote this song <3
This is beautiful--one I've never heard.
Great Version & Thanks. Never heard it before.
I have always loved this song.
I was in 10th grade when George passed away. My mom let me stay home from school to watch his funeral. I remember thinking this was the standout performance of the whole thing, Ronnie nailed it. Thanks for posting.
Pure talent.
Very best version of this song hands down
4:15.....jaw dropping greatness from a living legend!!!
I said sad not pitiful..
Would you shut up back there? I can't sing this great American song without you going byau byau byau back there!
what a song:)!
What a voice he has!
I also wanna add that I think the version of "Kaw-Liga" on this is better than the one that was on the 1976 Live album.
Where in the world do you find all this stuff! His lead guitar player and road manager produced me several years ago and we're very good friends. I love Ronnie's live stuff and yet when I've asked about this kind of thing, even they don't have this type of stuff!
This is a radio show I have in my collection.
I was a radio personality so these would get sent to the station I worked at and after they aired once, they were either destroyed or kept by many disc jockeys which makes them true rarities. This one is dated in the late 70s when I was just a kid so it wasn't one that a station I worked at played, but I do have a few that I took home. I have many more than what I have uploaded here; copyright blocks have prevented me from sharing all of them but I have uploaded a few where allowed. This is one of them. This particular one I think I got on eBay. I have been able to get a few from Discogs too, plus I am acquainted with a few collectors of vintage radio shows and they were willing to part with their Ronnie Milsap content! FYI you are not the first person to tell me that Ronnie didn't even have something in his collection. His long time producer Rob Galbraith told me just last week that neither he nor Ronnie has a copy of the rare instrumental/dance mix of "She Loves My Car" that I put on here too! I am just a fan, but if Ronnie ever feels a need to release this or anything else I may have the way he did the Gilley's show that was uploaded as an online only album "Blast From the Past", I would be honored to loan or even relinquish it to him.
Ooohh, what a good interview. Ronnie’s speaking voice, his accent, is as pretty as his singing voice.
Pretty Cool!
Thanks for posting this song , Milsap fan blog , I heard this song in 1980, and I couldn't find it anymore , til finally I found it here after all these years , its the best song I've ever heard , even now !
Probably one of Ronnie's greatest songs!!
Love this tune.
We think alike. Ronnie's an incredible artist!!
Nice cover of this great answer song.
Thank you. That's me. I was messing around testing a karaoke machine.
@@TheMilsapFanBlog It sounded good.
@@RemingtonRidersMusic thank you.
Wow a real rarity and pretty cool 6 minute version of this Milsap classic.
Yep. I have had this record for a long time now too. It's on a 12 inch 45 speed vinyl. From what I understand it was only released for clubs and raves, so it's been highly sought after. I had posted it here on You Tube once before but the volume was low so this is the redo.
I so remember the late 70’s & early 80’s RM concerts. Such a happy time in my life ❤️ He’s the absolute best ever!! Always has been. Always will be.
All my favorite songs are here! Very cool, thank you, Beth!
You're welcome.
Condolences to Ronnie Milsap on the loss of his beautiful wife, Joyce. Sept. 5 2021. 💔
Would love to see this live as with the other artists who sang tributes.
I have looked for one and have unfortunately not been able to find one.
Simply the best!!
Cant Hear it the Volume is too Low.
I'm sorry there is nothing I could do about that. I have several of these I will have to redo with different equipment.
Greatest country performer and vocalist!
I believe this was from George Jones's memorial service. Does anybody know if that is correct?
Yes it was..
Thanks For The Show !
Omg! Scream my name!
