A short film following the river Fowey from it's source at Bodmin Moor to it's mouth in the town of Fowey, Cornwall.

To me one of the greatest joys of youtube is finding hidden channels with hardly any views but content so much better than most. Everything about this is brilliant, it must have taken some time and effort. It just left me wanting more.

Can you feel the forke.
Starts at Brown Willy Moor as does the River Camel. The Camel to the North Coast and Padstow, the Fowey to the South Coast and Fowey! Pass Golitha Falls, Bodmin Road Station, Lostwithiel and opens up into Fowey and the sea.

what beautiful film spent many summer days when i was young from London to my grand mothers house in St cleer and spent many days by the Fowey nd in the 50s it was full of fish is it now i wonder ...many thanks..
Still full of fish. There is a project to boost the population of Salmon in the river and you can see many other species of fish from the banks of the river throughout the year. Autumn and winter is a perfect time to spot the Salmon and Trout as they are travelling up stream to spawn.

In summer if you turn off the A30 at the jamaica Inn and follow the road next to the river it goes for miles and miles right next to it... Its beautiful. Ideal for a push bike ride as its a steady down hill ride.
It's a beautiful river with a great range of wildlife. There were many amazing parts of the river that we visited but wernt able to show in this film because of time restraints.
