Welcome! We are First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Garland, Texas. This is a channel to foster Christian Education.

We believe that Christian faith is a life-long journey. At baptism we experience the saving grace of God. From that moment of confession and baptism, we are in relationship to Jesus Christ. Yet, we spend all our lives growing in the likeness of Jesus Christ. Times of learning and reflection help us in that life-long pursuit. The material on this channel is posted with that single purpose in mind.

The Apostle Paul captured this spirit of inquisitive faith, writing to the members of the church in Philippi:

"Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on towards the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3: 13-14).

We press on, too. Let our common journey of faith begin.
