I worked as a greenkeeper there for 8 years up until last year. What was you fave hole? I k ow 16 can be tricky
I liked the 16th the best as you said it’s tricky but a very nice hole. I liked the whole course. Do you have any other recommendations on other courses to play? 🏌️♀️🏌️♀️
@@jrgolfvlogs I'm glad you liked it. You should play there soon too. I think you'll notice a vast improvement. Especially greens wise. Before I left we had a new head greenkeeper who liked keeping on top of things for once. The greens get rolled and treated twice as much as they use to and we started cutting different too. We tried to make the bunkers drain better on the 4th, 5th, 6th, greenside bunker on 7, on the 8th, the greenside onthe 9th, and the 15th by digging trenches and filling them up with shingle but it made no difference 🤣 and yeah, pinner hill if you havent played there before. It's a prestigious course and I think you'd like it. Also northwood golf course. 👍
@@LeeStanborough sounds like I do need to get back there if the new head green keeper is doing all that extra work. I’ve never played none of the courses u mentioned I will look into them and try and get a round or 2 in 👍🏌️♀️🏌️♀️

Hi James, thanks for the reply, we are staying at the be live adults only so glad to hear you found it good, there is 12 of us travelling, did you guys stay around the hotel in the evening or venture out to the town? Cheers Dan
Most of us stay in the hotel but a few ventured out but I think they left it to late to go out as most place were shutting. We all went out in the day time and that was good.

Hi Dan thanks for the comment and watching my video. We all stayed in be live hotel it’s a lovely hotel I believe it’s adults only all inclusive. If your staying there you will have a great time. The hotel is nice and clean the staff are very helpful and the food is very nice. Hope you have a great trip and play some nice golf 🏌️♀️🏌️♀️. James

Try Isle Of Purbeck golf course in Swanage... its a lovely course!
Went there a few weeks back, greens were terrible for a top 100
I did a vlog there back in February it is one of my favourite course golf courses. Very scenic 🏌️🏌️♂️🏌️♀️

Good vlog again JR,I really like Iford,nice and flat course with some tricky holes.For your first time round that's a decent score. Plenty of good courses in Dorset,where are you from ?
Thanks I was quite happy with the way it come out. I really liked the course to. Is it always that windy there or was we unlucky. I'm from Southampton. What courses do u recommend in Dorset I want to try and play a few different courses this summer.
I think you were unlucky mate,never been that windy when I have been there. I have only been playing golf just over a year but played a few courses in Dorset.Of the ones I have played i would recommend Bulbury Woods (tough track with fast greens),Bridport (very picturesque Links course by the sea)and Wareham (short but tight and hilly with some tough holes). My favourite at the moment is Queens Park just up the road from Iford,but play in the week as its a public park with people walking their dogs etc. Still got loads of others I want to play this summer including Meyrick Park,Knighton Heath and Ashley Wood.

I would recommend it. It's a good bit of kit if you hit the ball better than me then I think it would be more accurate but I wasn't swinging the club well that day. Also is a good GPS range gadget when playing on a course. Thanks for the subscription much appreciated 🏌️🏌️♂️🏌️♀️

Yeah it was a bit wet had a lot of rain the night before and before we teed off that day. First time I played the course was nice would like to play it in the summer. Have you been playing much. How's the knee.

Not a great start , think you put yourself under pressure with your putting sometimes . Both bad reads on the first two holes . Looked like you were rushing a bit trying to beat the light .
Yea it was a bit of a rush to get finish before the dark. Still struggling with lining my putt up I think. Then I try to correct it with the swing and end up pulling and pushing it. Shame we are in lockdown as I need to practice it more to get comfortable with it.
@@jrgolfvlogs yeah not good this lockdown i was just starting to play well then it all closed down . You will get their with your putting half of it is confidence.

Yea I had a putting lesson and he told me to line my putt up which helps me a bit but still a work in progress. How's your game at the moment.
@@jrgolfvlogs thats brilliant James it looked much better , my game was good but damaged my knee so not played much . Had a game a few weeks back at Test Valley with Wayne Dewey and Sam Horrigan and Stuart. Was a really good game .
