hi I do not get it. For Ultragrip Performance+ XL for example, the tyre noise is labelled 72db. How come it is more silent than a tyre from another brand labelled 69db??

I bought those tires. Vector 4 Gen lasted over 50,000 km, which in my opinion is an impressive result for all-season tires. For an even better look, it wouldn't be bad if the letters on the rubber were in white. I recently put the Gen 3 on my Toyota and hope it lasts as long as the Gen 2.

What an impractical and technically impossible and economically useless idea. Obviously, a concept from the design office with no engineering background. This is up there with the orbital tire, the wheel that changes to a ducted fan to make the car fly etc. This does nothing to promote your engineering and scientific prowess.

We still have glow in the dark car tires today. But Goodyear's glow in the dark car tires were ahead of their time. We need to bring them back into production.

After buying my mom a 2018 Chevy Impala Premier, I was disappointed to learn how loud its interior cabin was… especially when compared to her aging Cadillac DTS. This to me seems like the typical promise of the future BS. People are too lazy or stupid to take care of the cars and tires now. Why would anyone think that having LIVING components of a car would be a viable solution? The biggest elephant in the room to me is that how many different climates would this even be practical in? I don't think that they would do very well in Las Vegas, Alaska, or any EXTREME climate. I worked for Goodyear several decades ago, and this is like so many other moronic pipe dreams they had back in the '80s. Yet here I am still driving on tires that are not much different then when the first radials came out in the '50s. I think this falls into if you can dream it, then you might be high category! Keep up the good work Goodyear, and keep smoking that ganja... ooops, I mean tires.
