Was getting my hands on a 9 Trigger in CPT. Good kite, feels a bit soft on the tips (i have 95kg), super fast turning (too fast for me:), low end is ok but same than on Harlem Force, compared to Aluula kites (Cabrinha, Slingshot, Rebel D/LAB) low end is by far not as good. You have seen it @KOTA, Overbeek was not happy with the performance in 25 to 35kn of wind, Aluula kites jumped significantly higher...Summary, good kite, for me with 95kg not an option. I didn’t notice any color transfer issues with the fabric, but apparently the same as with Harlem - don’t pack it away wet. No-go for me.

Is this a suitable kite to choose as a first kite after taking lessons, or would it be better to go for a kite like the North Reach or Duotone Evo

It supposedly has this "AUTO RELUNCH" feature, where it should go to vertical position on it's own and go to the edge of wind window. Does it work? Any videos of this anywhere?

Kind of disappointed with the weight. Regular Evo in 12 is 3,33kg and new Evo Sls 2025 in 12 is 3,30kg… why did it became heavier than the old one with 3,13 kg in 12? Where has the „L“ in SLS gone?

I saw this kite size 10m today in Portugal, super gusty 21 knots. Man, this kite flyes smooth as never. The hang time is incredible. I wish i can afford it, but now im stuck at 2015 and 2021 for my bigger kite.

Soon Brainchild will produce for everyone and we are back to square one. As for lighter kites, humbug. I kite mainly in 20+ knots, so you can keep your lightweight cloth for the lightwind sizes and leave the small sizes alone.

Thanks for rhe review, but you say tip more power for low wind which i thought that pivot gives more power when you ride in low wind because it more open more projected area, and in pivot the turn is tighter but not faster its slower can explain if i mistaken, tip for hight wind stable and faster big turn?

What is the weight of the kite?

This industry hype to make kites ever lighter is so not important. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the kites we have ridden the past 10 years. Im so over this expensive crap being churned out. Give an aerospace engineer a design remit and im sure what they would deliver would be nothing like this or Aalula or whatever else is out there.

I would be very interested in a quality review of a beat up, thoroughly used Harlem Force or Thrive, or maybe Reedin 2025 Hyper to see how good the Pro-Weld assembly technique and new materials, holds up against traditionally sewn kites.

When comparing a kite to "your own kite" it would be helpful to know what you are comparing to? Otherwise interesting review. I hope the Brainchild build quality surpasses the Chinese feel of the older F-Ones.

“Nice flutter in trailing edge”. First time I hear that flutter is described in a nice way. Raises few questions - is it by design? Ralph always designed kites that are super smooth and solid in the air and now suddenly all Brainchild kites flutter… Second- fluttering on beach kills kite canopy. How good is this flutter when flying? Will it impact life of kite?
