Hi Bere thanks, Well for 22 years living in Helsinki and having a pitch on the open air Helsinki market I have made and sold Dichroic glass jewelry, glass clocks etc. But I had been watching a few guys making coin rings on RUclips and it fascinated me, I thought I could do that so I jumped right in and love it, I still make glass but its nice to have something new to play with. @@bear788 Yea Its OK its fun, you don't need as many tools as I have to get started, check out other RUclips vids on tools for coin ring making. You can start with just a handful of tools, give it a go Bear you would love it.

Hi Mike, the reason I don't anneal the coin before I punch the hole is, as you punch the hole it puts a lot of stress on the coin where you punched it through and it work hardens. So when it would come to the first fold (on big red) the coin could split, where as I anneal the coin after the punch the whole coin is nice and evenly workable. But at the end of the day I don't think there's much in it, its just my approach of doing it.

Hi Craig, if you check out my videos there is one showing the tools I started with. But you can make them with just a drill a hammer and a ring mandrill, there are lots of videos of people showing how few tools required. Think your son would love it, its quite addictive.

OK where and when were you when living over here?, did you ever go to the famous Helsinki outdoor market, if so we may have met at some point, I have had a pitch there for over 22 years.

Hi, they are more interested in fraud, changing a low denomination coin into a more valuable one. There has been no convictions for drilling holes or making jewelry out of coins.

If you ever want a gold Sovereign ring I can make you one, you wont have to find one I have some. I don't trust banks or these pieces of paper they call money.

Eventually as you get bigger you may get some people leaving negative comments but do your best to just ignore them, that stuff tends to happen as people get jealous of the attention that they're not receiving; real mature blokes surely. And yeah we're having an absolutely great weekend, we watch your new videos each time they pop up and we've all gotten together in our group to talk and watch stuff for the night, I luckily just came across you by chance in my recommended section on youtube, and since I've already had a coin ring for a while I was definitely willing to check it out and see how it was done properly. Luckily coming across someone new to youtube and that has a great personality to boot, you do great with a whole lot of these rings and videos and I love seeing 'em! Also yeah definitely about the gold sovereign! I'll have to save up some money for it but I definitely would love to have you make me one at some point, if you throw me over a price I can definitely start saving up funds for it, I know they're not cheap so it may take me a while but I'd love to have a ring from the master himself and of such an auspicious coin! I think all the Gold Sovs have had absolutely beautiful designs and they seem like they'd be perfect to make a ring out of. I'd definitely have to get my ring size again though as it's constantly changing, the 1932 Swiss 5 franc ring that I have can fit on my thumb now as I've been dropping weight like crazy, so I'd love to get my fingers measured again, maybe by a jeweller or find some tools to do it myself, none of that string shit. I shall check out your new video tonight, excited to see it! Also if you've got a personal email you wanna throw over to me about discussing the gold sovereign ring definitely feel free to send it over my way and I can contact you via one of my business or personal emails to talk about it! I've got about 50$CAD currently saved up for purchases like that so it may take me a few months to get enough for purchasing one from you but I'd definitely love to have one made by you!

I'd love to have a piece made by you at some point, the coin ring I have already that I wear on my thumb is great and a memento of my time living in Europe with my family but I'd love to have one from the kind man I met on youtube showing this craft to everyone. Not many people know about this craft in particular and I've always found it incredibly fascinating, to have a piece made by you would be an honour! Dude, the problem is my tool just wont fit into it so I don't have a choice, I have to enlarge the hole so as to accommodate my tool.

It's simply a matter of close tolerance dies and a lot of pressure.
