"RIDGID clearly wants to stand behind their tools, and I want to stand with them." With our Lifetime Service Agreement, you can guarantee your tools will have the coverage they need. But don't take our word for it, we talked to real people who use cordless power tools every day. Here's what they have to say about it.
What is the Lifetime Service Agreement?
Просмотров 3,7 тыс.11 месяцев назад
We don't offer our Lifetime Service Agreement because we think our tools will fail, but because we think they shouldn't. Our Lifetime Service Agreement means that any registered power tool or battery that fails with regular use, will be repaired or replaced, for free. We've got you covered. It's as easy as that.

RIDGID Power Tools x The Cowboy Channel GIVEAWAY
Why not show the Subcompact?
Looks like my octane for real
I want one On sale on line Impact 2 4.0 amp batteries Charger and bag $199 But I just paid my bills late 😢
Looks like Tesla's design.
It's got same power as the 8 AMP MAX OUTPUT EXP BATTERY have been testing it for a couple days now
Looking forward to giving it a try!
Crazy how ridgid announced this battery and Dewalt AND Ryobi released tabless batteries (20V powerpack and 18V HP EDGE) and Milwaukee is already in the works. Ridgid is great I just hope the concerns people have about being turned away when they file LSA claims are addressed. I have my fair share of Orange tools but I can't go all into Ridgid thinking if heavy duty tools are denied because of what some say "Ridgid finds loopholes and new policies that disqualify claims". The Brushless earth auger, 1" SDS brushless rotary hammer, and that rear handle 7-1/4" circ saw are things I need the LSA to cover to protect our investment in Ridgid as Users of this great 18V platform. Enough with the brushed tools, full steam ahead with focusing on 1. New brushless tools like a PEX EXPANDER which a plumbing company should have along with a pex cinch ring and crimp ring 18v tools that even ryobi has. The battery tech is good, chargers are good, just focus on new tools instead of the gradual improvements on the same drill, angle grinder etc. I'd love to see a brushless orbital sander that at least competes with dewalt's dcw210 or Flex's Orbital sander (the current ridgid R8606B is apparently hard to control/lots of vibration. 2. Keep the LSA strong. I know it's expensive servicing so many tools for people but in the end reliable tools will have people rooting for Ridgid. Dewalt's warranty and customer service is slipping and their materials sourced are moving toward more plastic than metal. Milwaukee is great and TTI won't let Ridgid make the Red Cash cow look bad while still pricing Ridgid too close to Ryobi so the LSA is the real selling point as Ryobi's HP line is getting VERY competitive. Bonus tip for the Pro Gear 3.0 in the future make the outer and inner lid accesory friendly like Flex's stack pack where you could mount a charger or two instead of people melting and cutting their own voiding any warranty. sell empty ridgid bit cases pro gear connectable and we could customize our favorite bits like Makita XPS impact bits or Dewalt Max Fits etc. on the cases. As a small tool channel my biggest push is for all platforms to make what the users need instead of convincing someone to move from platform to platform for that one off tool. Sorry for the speech. hype up the battery with good tools to use it on ~ Work Smart
Just ORDERED it will be TESTING it in 8 days
Quality tools my dad bought a drill and impact set from Ridgid 11 years ago everything still works besides the batteries which ridgid lsa replaced!
it’s also light weight! Love that saw. I switched from Milwaukee to ridgid. Hoping to get cordless miter saw soon.
Love that saw 😍
Do I have to ship the tool in the original box or can I ship a couple of tools in a standard box? I do have an electric orbital sander and a cordless sawzall to go back for repairs.
I'mma be broke!!
Can’t wait!!! Getting all 3!!!!
I'm getting 1
that is a good one
When are these being released i want!
Ridgid promises these batteries to be a major upgrade from their normal 18V batteries by utilizing 21700 cells and tabless connections within the battery. While this technology isn’t brand new, Ridgid is the latest brand to enter it into its lineup. We first saw it with the launch of Milwaukee’s Forge batteries, and more recently Ryobi’s HP Edge batteries in early 2024. Unlike the conventional battery design, which uses one or two internal tabs for energy transfer, tabless cells maximize the pathways for internal energy transfer by limiting the amount of resistance. What follows is a power boost of up to 3X compared to standard Lithium-ion batteries, according to Ridgid. Plus, this design also helps the battery to run cooler for all-day performance.
Forge batteries aren't tabless batteries. They are pouch cell batteries like the power stack and stacked lithium from flex.
You are correct and I am wrong. I have serious dry eyes and when I looked at, it looked like pouches. Now that my eyes have gotten some moisture, I can see that they are cylinder in shape.
I did read somewhere, that Ridgid is looking at pouch style batteries in the future.
You still haven't eplained the difference between "regular" 4ah and "MAX" 4ah other than a big price difference.... 4ah is 4ah - so what justifies the price jump?
According to RIDGID, MAX and EXP communicate better with tools that are designed to take advantage of them and make run time longer.
Thank you for this video
Tabless means that the surface area of which the power is transfered from battery to tool is much larger, meaning less heat and more joules per second. This means higher discharge rate and more power behind the tool. Also, that must be a new hammer drill because the anti kick back in the r861152 is so sensitive, that little jerk you see in this video when the bit bites the would shut the current hammer drill down without question
This video is a total waste of time! Why???
It is a teaser video.
wtf is tabless ffs
This video doesn’t show anything! It says it’s a 4amp battery, is it the same 72Wh as the regular 4amp battery?
Not a "4amp" battery, four amp *hours* (one is a measure of current, the other is a measure of capacity). Either the regular 4Ah (or the MO 4Ah) or this can all output much more than 4A of current. Also yes total *energy* would of course be the same--4Ah x 18V = 72Wh. However instead of 8 x 18650s, this uses 4 x 21700s, plus they are tabless = more output capability, less internal resistance. In other words in higher demand tools you'll get more performance but about the same runtime, as the two-row 4Ah batts (either the regular or the MO), while at the same time being lighter weight and more compact. Basically these will pack the most punch for the smallest size, at least in Ridgid's lineup of batteries.
How much better is this going to perform than a three amp hour octane battery but also has 21700 cells I know it's rated for one more amp hour but are you really going to notice a difference
Answer: Yes Check out my other comments.
I am wrong about the individual power sources making up the battery. They are cylinder in shape.
"Tabless"!? Looks and still sees the tabs to take the battery in and out! WTH!?
You are thinking on the wrong tabs. The tabless is referring to the internal connection of the individual cells. Edit: I am wrong on the pouch style for this battery. I did read somewhere that Ridgid is look at that style in the future.
@@recondaxThe thumbnail for this video does not look like pouch cells, they look cylindrical?
That is same than any other 😂😂😂😂
Answer is NO. It is a totally different type of battery.
No one knows what that means
Why does it look like the 3ah octane battery 🤔
Because maybe Ridgid really hasn't changed much design wise, just the guts!?
@@recondaxWrong, they are cylindrical 21700 cells.
Basically what they are--single row of 21700s--only with more capacity, less IR due to tabless, and no Bluetooth. This is the first actual replacement for the Octane 3.0, though if you have Octane 3.0s I don't see any immediate "need" to upgrade to these unless you need that extra runtime in the same size/weight battery.
Kind of wondering why you guys didn't put a video on here that you released a 3/4-in impact gun just so you know I've replaced all my corded power tools with rigid cordless LSA definitely part of the equation but the biggest part is you guys make tools that actually are powerful and perform
I love mine. This will cut up to 8" stuff. Plenty of power. Sliding, dual bevel, with stops and tons of adjustments. Platform (table) turns well beyond 45°. It weighs only 24lbs. Way better than lugging around a full size saw that needs an outlet and a cord. I'm currently using mine inside a home with home owners occupying it. Way quieter than a corded saw. These are waaaay underrated.
What is the Lifetime Service agreement, you ask. If you were to ask me, a guy with a shop full of Ridgid tools, I'd say it was a scam. I've replaced my Ridgid cordless tools with Milwaukee and DeWalt.
I got shafted with this 'lifetime' agreement. Ridgid is not to be trusted.
Love mine
I sent back 3 items in for service on the LSA program on 11-7-23 and they signed receipt of the items on 11-10-23. It is now 1-3-24 and I have received nothing from Ridgid. I may be rethinking Ridgid tools altogether. If you depend on your tools and they take this long to get them serviced, what's the point of the LSA? 2 months is a long time to not even have an update from Ridgid. I will update my post when I actually receive the items back.
Anybody else having trouble with the LSA? I am but cannot get help when I call. Customer service that I have talked to is "about as useful as a basement in a treehouse".
Just received an LSA eligible RIDGID product for Christmas, will I need to ask the person for the receipt to register?
I really hope you guys honor this because I already have a couple of your tools, and I’m about to invest in more.
I have the mid torque and the 3/8 drive ratchet. I haven’t used the ratchet yet, but the mid torque has worked very well for me so far. I’m about to add the high torque hammer drill to my Ridgid set. I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to also get the four mode impact driver, or the subcompact.
I have put this up against the Milwaukee 2904, and this drill, consistently performs, as well as, or better than the Milwaukee .
I’m slowly becoming a Ridgid fan. I was hesitant to buy into the brand because the color scheme reminds me too much of HDX, which is the generic brand of stuff sold at Home Depot. I’ve used the mid torque impact wrench a couple of times and, it’s bulkier than the Milwaukee but it definitely works. I’ve recently been testing the high torque hammer drill against the Milwaukee 2904, and it’s been pretty much the same story. Ridgid seems to be 100% legit.

Can someone please explain to me then why I have a tool that was sent in for repair and the warranty department just sent me a check. I have the Job Max 18v power handle and several attachments for that tool, I sent the power handle in for a loose motor and they did not inform me that they were going to send a check. When I called customer service they told me a supervisor would contact me and they never did. I was also told that I am basically stuck with the attachments and no tool to use them on. I am curious what Ridgid considers LIFETIME? Good chance this comment will be removed by the content creator.
This would make it easier to put on molding, plumb doors and faster cabinet installations…
This is another reason why I’m a RIDGID Supporter!!! I used to be a craftsman and dewalt tradesman…. RIDGID is standing behind their products and they’ve won me on the power tools recently! I bought the brushless power tools!!! Auto motive repair impacts are beasts!
