Hello there, I was wondering if you could make a video on how to identify the date of a cartridge belt as I’m unsure if mine is early, mid or late war. Thanks!
Good afternoon! To find the dates on a US cartridge belt, you can look at the inside canvas by each buckle near the front of the belt and there should be a manufacturer stamp and date. Depending on the variant of the belt it could also be in the middle on the inside of the adjusting strap that holds both cartridge sides together. Thank you! You can also check out our video on the M1923 Cartridge belt, I believe it covers the manufacturer markings. Many belts have illegible stamps due to heavy use/storage and age so it's not uncommon to not be able to read one.

The M1910 system wasn't only used from 1914-1918, a diagram showing a webbing system doesn't have to be from a specific conflict.
I guess this happened ( Just show Any war film No one will notice the difference) But you did. !!
This isn't a war film, it's archival footage of the 70th infantry division during the ETO. Also, this video shows several variants of US pistol belts, mainly Second World War versions. The M1910 system is used as a base reference for the rest of the variants leading to WWII which is the footage you're seeing.

The video is about the Evolution of US pistol belt variants, mainly from the M1936 (WWII - onwards) not the M1910 system and its entirety, it is a reference to what the M1936 style belt was built on. You must have not paid attention.

They use to be cheap not sure about now. My first handgun was an unknown S&W copy 6 inch barrel. Put a lot of 38 special and reloads thru it.
They're still relatively cheap, the ones in good working condition are only around 130-145$
