Hello, I'm Lea, I'm a full time home educating mama to Elfie, working from home in a rural creative cottage industry.
I'm a textile artist, and love heritage crafts, and history of crafts, and I'm passionate about helping to keep the old skills alive and growing.
www.patreon.com/LeaandElfie - With different tiers of lovely options to choose from.
Me and Elfie spend lots of time crafting together, we spin yarns & art yarns, weave on rigid heddle looms & tapestry looms (& I'm just setting up new work on a table loom) Elfie also tablet weaves on a backstrap loom. we sew, knit, crochet, paint, print, make jewellery, do pottery, wet felting, & needle felting, & I whittle wood, & have started learning basketry.
I started this channel to share our arts, crafts, vlogs, natural living, and I'm neurodiverse so I also share my videos about autism / aspergers and adhd as an adult female, to hopefully help other autistic people, and raise awareness, acceptance and self esteem.

Tea In The Wagon In this one I am joined by my friend and fellow creative, Pamela. To be able to get us both into the shot, we had to move the camera further back than usual, so the sound has come out quieter than usual. I'm saving up for some better equipment for the future, but I decided to post this one anyway. (In the next one the camera will be closer again as usual.) We worked on our craf...

Beautiful!!! I SO LOVE YARN!!! I crochet. TFS!! Austin TX USA
Just beautiful ❤
I do so much love watching you in you wagon and seeing what you have created x
beautiful
You and Elfin are so much fun to watch. I have two daughters, one is a very talented crochet artist! I have been a crocheter, knitter, quilter, and now I am a weaver. I have the great luck and joy to weave for a 1790’s Colonial Farmstead in Pennsylvania. We have a very large 18th century loom on which I weave linen projects. We also have a couple of tape looms and I teach others to weave tape or bands. And behind the scenes, we have a modern Schacht four shaft loom on which I make plain weave projects to sell in our little shoppe. Most of the time I dress in 18th costume because we are an historical site. I sewed my costume. On my own time, I still love to knit and have a blanket nearly finished, and I love hand sewing patchwork quilts and have two on the go. And my favorite tea is….Earl Grey! ❤️
I feel like I'm listening to someone explaining how I am. It's far in-between someone who gets it.
Hi, I’m Michelle from Southampton and this is the first one of your videos I have watched although I’ve been following you for a while on instagram. I really enjoyed watching and hearing about how you manage your time. I adore your creations and you are both so inspiring. I like to make clothes out of old damaged clothes/fabrics and also unpick old jumpers and use the yarn to make something new. At the moment I’m finishing off a crochet blanket for my sister in law to keep her legs warm while she’s out and about in her wheelchair. She asked for skulls so that was a new one for me to learn. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos 😊
What a brilliant idea to put pockets on a plain piece of clothing, I love pockets but you don’t get many skirts with pockets so this is a great idea for that and also tops like yours, thanks for showing this
I do like the pockets you put on to the top🎉
Hi, I'm Michelle from Tasmania, Australia. At this moment my dye pots are bubbling. I have a pot of Madder and Alkanet cooking containing wool, silk scarves and cotton tapes. I'm also knitting small Cat stuffed toys for a charity fundraising market. My daughter and I attended Tasmania's largest Craft Fair on Friday and demonstrated spinning with a group of spinners and weavers.
This vlog was so heart warming to watch. I always look forward to seeing your vlogs, but tea in the wagon is just the best xxx
I love these vlogs from you both.. always so wholesome.. a beautiful life there. That's lovely to see Elfin is reading Merrybegot..I also have read that book..Hope you enjoy Elfie..❤ Will watch this again on patreon..Thanks for sharing ❤❤✨✨
Elfin is an amazing weaver and her choice of colours is truly beautiful! I love!! the Butser Ancient Farm, thank you for showing that visit. And a lovely detailed piece about washing your fleece.
@@ThePattiw thank you so much! Your comment is lovely. We're very glad you like the videos! Many thanks 💗
So wholesome
@@RuthellenHerzberg thank you
I love everything you make!
@@lezlierussell2834 thank you very much!! 💗
It’s lovely to see you both; and lovely to have a tea in the wagon visit. I’m mad about fresh ground cardamom and have been adding it to almost any tea I’m drinking. My mum was a maker and I remember many afternoons learning crafts with her. I’m a maker and included my kids in exploring making, building and crafting. My daughter makes dolls and sews. I so enjoy that you share your creativity- thank you! 🐇🐇♥️
@@9FatraBbits that's lovely to hear, thank you very much! The cardamom sounds like a lovely addition 😍 and lovely to hear from you about your creative family 🥰💗
Hi, lovely video as always, thank you ❤. Thank you for reading my last comment out 😍 In the last tea in the wagon you inspired me to look up slow stitching as I hadnt a clue what it was! Well thats sent me on a whole new crafting journey! I now cant stop slow stitching along with spinning , painting, crochet and junk journaling 😂. Today i was slow stitching a meditation scroll with you 💕 Lots of love from Dorset xx PS I love the top!! Xx
@@SacredSoulArt 🥰 Thank you so much for your lovely comment! That's so lovely that you have taken up a new craft to enjoy 😍 we're really happy to hear that. Thank you 🌿🌸🌼💗

Hi Isobelle 😍 Thank you so much! That's lovely. Your bracelets and handwoven blankets are so beautiful! 🌿🌸🍂🍃💗

@@kathrynbassett1535 hi Katy, it's lovely to hear from you! We looked up the Newfoundland pattern knittings, they look really pretty 😍 Love from Lea and Elfin 🌿🌼💗
Thank you for sharing about autism etc. I get overwhelmed with how much fibre craft l want to create. I'm going to try your method. Love everything about your channel. Happy fibre family days from Australia
Hi, thank you for your lovely comment! I'm glad that the video was helpful. Thank you 🌿🌸💗

Thank you! 💗
Hi girls. I’m crocheting headbands for cancer patients. I enjoy crocheting for others in the hopes it brings some comfort to them. I’m drinking green tea with Jasmine
Hi, it's lovely to hear from you, that's such a lovely project creating the headbands 😍💗
Excellent video! Enjoyed seeing your ideas and creativity! Such a perfect space to create and drink tea too. I am always so inspired after watching you at work--thank you!🥰As always, loved the ending and hearing the hens chattering🐔🐔
Thank you very much for your lovely comment Pam! We're so glad you enjoyed the video, and the hens' lovely noises 😍 many thanks 🌿🌸🧵🌾🍃💗
I absolutely adored this type of video with you and Elfin! It's beautiful to see what you've both been making. It's also beautiful to witness such a lovely relationship between the two of you as you both enjoy the art of making together. I've been enjoying making my own looseleaf chai tea. The ritual of preparing it has been very peaceful. As for my crafting, I just dyed yarn to knit my youngest son a hat for the cold winter months approaching here in western New York, USA. Thanks for sharing your life and your art with us! You are both such bright lights in this world! 💞 -Shawna
Hi Shawna, thank you so much! That's lovely to hear, we're very glad you enjoyed the video! It's lovely to hear about your hand crafted chai blend, and winter hat project 😍 Lots of Love to you all 🌿🌼🌸🍃💗
Lea, I have been watching you two for quite some time. You have really come out of your shell. Elfin has turned out to be a beautiful young lady as well. I hope that all your hard work is paying off. It seems that you have found the "system" that works best for you. My hope is that ALL people that have autism can find a system that works for them. Lots of Love, Dianne from Florida ❤❤❤
@@diannenaworensky6698 🥰 ahh thank you so much Dianne!! This is such a lovely message 😍 I hope that too, such a big difference in life to be able to do something that feels peaceful. I will pass on your message to Elfin. Lots of Love from Lea 💗💗💗
I love how your family works together, and how mother and daughter seem to encourage each other to do great things. I am from northern California, in the wild woods too. I'm drinking some homemade chai, with my favorite spices (including chile flakes!) and weaving on my new 16" rigid heddle, some unmeasured "wild" weaving of natural dyed 10/2 cotton, in marigold. Lea, I think its wonderful that you can, and do, all the time, because I fully understand how that is the way of an artist who wants to make an income, or even just create a legacy. Each day, all day, doing what you love, it just won't get better than that ever, so don't stop or change things about, you're living your ideal life, influencing so many creative souls... but most importantly Elfin, who is so lucky and rare of a person to be brought up in a real grassroots textile art farm. Thank you, Elfin too, even Luke, for supporting you & Elfin to do what you do. :)
@@Jen-pz6qg hi Jen, big thanks for your lovely message! That's so nice! I will show Luke and Elfin your message 🥰 Your chai sounds lovely with the chili in it 😍 and your weaving project too sounds really lovely. Thank you again. Love from Lea 💗
I’m the same as you in the way I work, I don’t work well doing different things during the day and if I’m making things for a craft fair , I like to make several of the same thing before moving on to something new, my brain can’t cope with jumping around , I end up achieving nothing otherwise.
@@lindacalver773 😍 thank you for your message, it's nice to hear from someone else with a similar brain type.
Awe so cute the little baby...lamb..
