    Trunk no Boot Hood no bonnet Side mirror no wing mirror I’m English not American

    • @KB10GL
      @KB10GL Месяц назад

      The side/wing mirrors are still rear view mirrors. They are either left or right rear view mirrors or side mirrors [L or R] The so called 'trunk' is actually a boot, it's a term that even the US used from coaching days & only discarded from the mid 1930's The so called 'hood' is correctly called the bonnet, but as usual, the Yankistani's screwed that up as well. The so called 'dashboard' is actually the instrument cluster, which, incidentally, is mounted in the dashboard, which is of itself a term from the horse drawn era. It was the board that separated the driver from the horses rear end to prevent the 'dash' [horse poo] from entering the front of the horse drawn vehicle when in motion. The authors of this script should give themselves a stiff uppercut for being so ill educated & so ignorant on the subject & for being such an embarrassment to the internet.

    Originally, R.I.P. is a Latin acronym that stands for "requiescat in pace". It happens to be the same initials in English.

      @Rmetr0 Brits also say "sleeping policemen" but as a jokey name for speed humps. Also Brits say zebra crossing or pedestrian crossing - crosswalk is US.
