Bankruptcy Pros and Cons from Ed Dechant
When my robins get drunk eating old berries, they walk around on the lawn under the tree, staring glassy-eyed into the distance.....
Wish they'd remove some fish barriers along the creek, It's not a huge drainage, It would not take a lot to start seeing better returns I believe. It's sad that the population is but a fraction of what it once was. Theres a good study floating around out there that points towards water diversions and barriers as the large culprit.
There's ALREADY massive chinooks that spawn and die in Sonoma creek every year and another well kept secret is how LOADED the creek is with steelhead in the winter when it's swollen but with native steelies and chinooks up to 55 lbs spawning in creek as well as lampreys sucker fish or "pike" that I've seen in Sonoma creek big as a mans leg and there's bluegill n perch and even few bass in Sonoma creek (bass should NOT be there but they are) but with all the fish already in there and the native huge chinooks and TONS of steelhead every year why in the hell would you plant silvers in the fragile tiny Sonoma creek and don't u think it'll negatively impact chinooks n steelies and their fry and jacks in such a tiny body of water where when the spawning silvers come thru there's practically no escape from them and can't tell me all the crawfish freshwater lamprey babies and freshwater grass shrimp will keep silvers from annihilating steelies and chinooks
