Great ending 😂
@@adriancollier7 😂😂Lets see if it actually helped the situation! 😂
the extra wires may be to create a better earth to the chassis / handlebars :)
@@simonutton9213 thanks, once i manage to get it all back together i will check that! 👍
Ahhh! Previous owner has more than likely dropped it and bent the pegs
@@adriancollier7 spot on that man! I have a banana peg😂
Oh boy, I've ridden an S1C, would love an original S1, I currently own an S2 350 in S1 colours.
@@MarkPearce-u7m Hi Mark, had the bike since 18 and been sitting around tor years so had to get it back on road, not sure how many vids you seen but early ones have cine film of it back in the 80's, also cgeck out my recent camping series on the S1 at the kawasaki triples rally, had a great time! 👍 The S2 sounds great , you cant beat a triple,
Hard to beat for the price. Appreciate the time 👍
@@stevendonovan9762 Thanks steve and agree, especially with a 5000HH. Being in it in the storm i filmed really gave it a good test and it performed perfectly!
This video just appeared on my feed. Nice to see some local roads. I’m from Sittingbourne and did some of that ride during the week, I went from Sittingbourne, Faversham, Ashford, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Seasalter then back home.
@@neildawson4933 Hi neil and welcome to the channel, yes its a nice ride out through the marshes really enjoyed it, look out for my triple snd if u see it come say hallo👍 cheers Mark
I have the 1985 Xv1000. Has a great engine but two very common issues are weak earth wire for starter motor, making people think they have a bad starter. I ran a 4 gauge wire from battery to the rear starter mounting bolt. What a difference. Second thing is the starter gear. They wear very quickly and makes it hard to spin and start. Its been 5 years but I got a different spring online that basically pushes the starter out further. Starts so easily now.
@@tomakafrankconlon3207 many thanks for the comment and the info i will definitely look at the wiring snd have a look round about the different spring, plenty more videos to come and great to hear from a fellow owner, all the best. Mark
@@KawasakiS1C-td2kl Its good to see down to earth bike videos like yours. Thanks for posting. I moved to America 16 years ago and I have never seen another Virago 1000 on the roads so its a cool bike to own. I have a electronic copy of the factory manual for the bike if you want it for free.
@@tomakafrankconlon3207 yes please that would be great, let me know when sent.👍
Quality video. Love the truthfulness! Subscribed
@@SteveM109r thanks Steve and welcome to the channel, i cannot believe some of the things i see 😂😂 but people probably don't know any different so good to put out some alternative ideas👍
@@KawasakiS1C-td2kl I loved the “it’s not motocamping, it’s camping with a motorbike” I couldn’t agree more.
Spell check might help too.
Oh dear theres always one😂😂 check cryptic link between bike and spelling - don't you get it??? if not i am not giving you the answer, think about it !!! 😂😂😂
Sadly I think the bike is trying to tell you she wants to die peacefully in a scrap yard somewhere and not upside down in a ditch with you laying in an adjacent field 🤦🏼♂️😂
Holes are drilled into container lids because some numbnuts may try to put them in their mouths. If they get stuck at least the hole allows some air in to allow breathing. Vince
😂 your face big thumbs up 👍👍
All them months of pain and suffering coming out 😂👍😂
Can't belive it actually started! Well Done 👍
Oh ye of little faith! 😂😂😂thanks!!😁
If you get one poorly soldered that's easy to correct. I find it odd they don't use plastic instead as the floats in the many ancient Amals I work on are fine decades after production. I collect old tin/lead solder because ROHS solder is garbage and use liquid flux. Lead soldering with decent ventilation (I usually do it outdoors but it's easy to make a fume extractor from any shop vac) is no risk.
Hi Yes the new solder is rubbish, i know what you mean on the plastic floats but only brass available in this instance. I did test the float for pinholes and i may post the test up as that may be usueful as well. Thanks for the comment, good info, all the best Mark

Many thanks, me and the bike go back along way so still a lot of work to do so many more vids to come, glad you enjoyed it, all the best Mark.
I'm genuinely enchanted by your video! ♦* "Obstacles are the stepping stones to personal growth.."
