Does the rear view camera work automatically when the gear is shifted to R or do we need to pull a cable from the gear?
The only ones I’m seeing are for 2002 I have a 03 but there’s really no difference right?

FM radio connections not working well. Only one radio station can be connected, but very weak.

Really great, detailed video. Very helpful with my own install. Interestingly though, the antenna adapter doesn't work with my antenna plug. Any thoughts? It's an e39 wagon with the business cd unit (originally).
Is it the GPS antenna or WiFi antenna that is giving you the problem? Many thanks for your very kind comments regarding my video 😊
@@Photos_KP believe it or not, it's just the regular radio antenna. My E39 has an interesting seemingly non standard plug and Eonon ships a cool little adapter that it doesn't mate up with but seems kind of close. I contacted Eonon support and they told me I have to physically remove the leading edge of my antenna plug in order for the adapter to fit inside. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but when I do I'll document what happens for sure. I can't be the only person that this has happened to
Having problems with the carplay audio cutting in and out randomly, tried restetting, disconnecting etc. still happens, is there anything to solve the issue ?
Where is the usb stick located to add jpeg for logo start up?

@Photos_KP I have the head unit at home with all the wiring except that I have dsp on my 2002 bmw 540i. The extra adapter harness I need to buy is something I connect in the front and nothing to do with the trunk, right? I'm just a bit confused from other pictures online about it. I saw it that if you have dsp, you have to do something in the trunk, or is it just all in the front when installing that extra harness, which is eonon a0950
@@SchwartzE39 Possibly yes. My car had no DSP so everything was just at the front except for the CD changer which is now redundant.
Do these units last for years like Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, etc? For $300+ they should last forever and not have issues. I am reading some have issues and one year warranty is a joke for chinese product.
