The Sound Of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
Realy good
Thank you again, this is another alternative version of my song, sung by Lana Clark, appreciate all your comments on my work.
Good keep it up
Thank you I put this together from the film and used an alternative version of my bands song, this one sung by the wonderful Lana Clark, with a small choir backing group, glad you like it Stacey.
Beautiful 💜 awesome work!
I very much suspect the Valley in the song is High Valleyfield: Fifers will happily fight the next village along, if there is nothing else to do, even if that is only 3 stops (or 6 lamp posts) on the bus home. * (* if you ever visit Dunfermline and have the misfortune to travel through it on the bus, you will soon realise in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Fife, the council will put up bus stops literally 2 lamp posts apart in many street. Even old coal miners, exhausted with feigning white knuckle and the black lung for that bigger pension, could still throw a tennis ball from one stop to another. I doubt the driver gets out of First gear, if the bus isn't electric already, for most of his route.)
Thanks for getting the lyrics right, theres so many on here getting them wrong.
Brilliant song and a brilliant video 😊
Run cinderella run
Nice keep going
Thanks Pompeii is a favourite subject of mine.
I love this The Farm song All together now In memory of all the brave young mostly workingclass men who died in the first World war thank you The Farm for this Wonderful song from a 61 years young Irishman fan from Dublin 🇮🇪☘️
We owe a lot to them all.
I hope that one day we will learn the lesson that we must help each other and not exterminate each other.
That's humanity's only hope
Nice, keep going
Thank you, I will do
In the name of the peace, stop the wars
Couldn't agree more with this sentiment.
This actually happened in 1914 so after this I think the two respective soldiers should have been leading their countries. But no their superiors were not having it... Imagine if they were leading their countries.
Wish the world was more like this
Too right, so many senseless wars, we should all be pulling together.
@@theantaresian very true
Nice
Stupidiest war in humanity history. No reasons, no sense, no results. But tens millions KIA. Just no words.
Hermoso 🎉
One of OMD's greatest tracks, lyrically it is genius
Yeah they have been around so long now, but still seem underrated.
Good one
Thanks for watching!
Very good , i remember this .😂
Ha ha
Great song and video. I am surprised that a remake hasn't been made of this song from the Skids.
Lovely creatures lol. Not. Canny video
Thank you for watching, it's appreciated.
Can it really be that no-one has written a commentary and there are less than 700 views of this video? This is the official video of the song, right? A song which in my opinion is quite probably the best pop song of the 21st Century. I mean pure pop, akin to classics by AHA, Wham or Madonna. If this song had been released in the 1980s it would have no doubt got to number one and be considered a classic. Instead it gets released in an era of crap radio stations, no MTV, no TOTP, not even a music show like Jools Holland on French TV, and only f****** algorithms made by souless robots. This song is pure joy, pure happiness that makes you soar like a seagull when you listen to it. I continuously sang this song in the garden to the seagulls overhead when I first discovered it five or six years ago. This is an absolute pop masterpiece.
This is an excellent comment, but I must say that it is a video I made myself with clips from a lovely lady called Taryn Elliott from Pexels. I couldn't agree with you more about the song though!, I've done a few more from Teleman too, what a band.
The way this world is going i think its safest place for them lol
Well I'm sure they can have 9 months in there!
Hahaha
Thanks for that , loved this track and loved this film .
Thank you for watching, yeah it was a great movie and of course Kraftwerk were a major influence on OMD too,
Wonderful Woman! 🙏🌹🍸🥂❤️

One of best songs written by Ian. Nice video.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
One of my favorites from the Bunnymen, thanks a lot for the video, so nice to watch and sing with it!!
Blood against gold
Splendid video for a great song!
The song was produced by Suggs, a founding member of the band Madness, and recorded at Mayfair Studios. The lyrics were written about the Christmas Day Truce in World War I where, on Christmas Day 1914, soldiers from both sides put their weapons down, and met in no mans land to exchange gifts and play football. The song has a chord sequence taken directly from Johann Pachelbel's "Canon". It was originally released on 26 November 1990 peaking at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 1 on the NME Independent chart[citation needed] and No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Its single cover showed a Subbuteo figure wearing an army uniform and brandishing a Bren machine gun. It was also the last video shown on The Power Station on 8 April 1991. Stephen Thomas Erlewine from AllMusic called "All Together Now" "goofily endearing" and "truly memorable". Larry Flick from American magazine Billboard declared it as "anthemic". A reviewer from Daily Mirror named it one of 1990's "most memorable songs" and "such a catchy song". Jon Wilde from Melody Maker wrote, "1990 has seen the inexplicable rise of The Ordinary Bloke. They don't come any more ordinary than the Farm, who look for all the world like a collection of bit actors in Northern soap operas, the kind of geezers you find hanging about by the pub dart-board scoffing salt and vinegar crisps as burly Betty Turpin types fetch hither mixers from the cellar. Their 15 seconds of minor celebrity will surely be up once the general public get wind of this ruthlessly awful rock dirge with dancefloor pretensions." Another Melody Maker editor, Bob Stanley, complimented the song as "excellent" and a "enjoyable moment" of the album. Andrew Collins from NME named it "easily this LP's grandest moment" and "one of 1990's most durable hits, a scarfs-out-for-the-lads 'Abide with Me' for last orders." Another NME editor, David Quantick, commented, "Sometimes the Farm seem to be more anonymous than the person underneath the Jive Bunny mask. [...] And now they return with a record that has a powerfully singable chorus, a pounding beat, Shaun Ryder's vocal dad Pete Wylie on backing singing...and I'm beggered if I can remember it for more than a nanosecond after it's over. A chorus without a verse, an anthem without a purpose, an answer without a question." Andy Strickland from Record Mirror named it Single of the Week, adding, "With things hotting up in the Gulf, this could prove to be one of the most poignant pop hits since the late Sixties. Musically, it picks up where "Groovy Train" left off; great groove, spacey guitar into and a guaranteed sing-a-long dancefloor filler." Miranda Sawyer from Smash Hits wrote, "It's a banner-waving epic, that's what it is. Blimey. There's still a nice jittery beat to shake your roomy trouserwear to, but the catchy chorus is unmistakably of the proud-scarf-waving-and-lighters-aloft genre. If you're into flopping your fringe about then you'll be a bit disappointed for this is definitely one for the terraces. Nice and uplifting." Lyrics: Remember boy that your forefather's died Lost in millions for a country's pride But they never mention the trenches of Belgium When they stopped fighting and they were one A spirit stronger than war was at work that night December 1914 cold, clear and bright Countries' borders were right out of sight When they joined together and decided not to fight All together now All together now All together now, in no man's land The same old story again All those tears shed in vain Nothing learned and nothing gained Only hope remains All together now All together now All together now In no man's land The boys had their say they said no Stop the slaughter let's go home, let's go, let's go (Der Song wurde von Suggs, einem Gründungsmitglied der Band Madness, produziert und in den Mayfair Studios aufgenommen. Stephen Thomas Erlewine von AllMusic nannte „All Together Now“ „albern liebenswert“ und „wirklich unvergesslich“.
Thank you for watching and listening and especially for going into so much detail here, I appreciate it muchly.
Thank you for this very touching video and I wish you and the whole world good health and peace.
That was hard to watch how can people treat people that way makes you think
Thanks so much for watching, it was hard going making it too. 2000 years ago and we still haven't learned.

Great song and thanks for adding the video and lyrics ❤
My pleasure, thanks for taking the time to watch it.
Great song-shite video
Interesting, do you mean when that counts to one, then you need a trillion of those counts to reach one second?
Sure do! and that is a heck of a long time!

The greatest love song sung by the only one who could.
One of the best singers in the world with only 322 views and 12 likes is a disgrace to the music industry.
40 years after I first heard this song and now I finally know the lyrics! All these years I thought it was "Billions run around 'til they know exactly what to do" LOL Great mix and video. Cheers@!
Song nicely mixed in the the UK's Xmas sainsbury advert from 2017.
I thought I was the only one that knew where the video was from!
Yep, they don't make adverts of that quality anymore.
