I didn't know of truly grim hotels until we first visited Florida. I cannot describe how much that damp smell reduced the overall holiday experience for us. You're not stuck up, it's a serious issue with some hotels (not all). A manager took us into over 10 rooms to see if any didn't have that smell and they all did. You can just imagine all the microbes in the air lol. Villa every time for us now as honestly that's the better option with kids.
