Very nice video... Detail explanation ❤
Thanks a lot 😊
Great video, thank you. Can I show restaurant part time job contract as financial means proof?
Thank you for watching! Submitting a part-time job contract may help support your application, but it won’t be enough on its own to fulfill the financial means requirement for the Opportunity Card. To meet this requirement, you typically need to show one of the following: * Proof of a blocked account ("Sperrkonto") in Germany with at least €1,027 per month to cover your stay, plus funds for a return flight. * A Verpflichtungserklärung (formal obligation letter) from a sponsor living in Germany. * Current bank account statements demonstrating sufficient funds. A part-time job contract could help supplement these primary documents, but it won’t replace them. If you need further guidance on preparing the right financial proof, feel free to connect with us through TopMate for personalized support: bit.ly/3Y7taS5
@TravelCuddlers23 OK I understand
Great video. I'm mechanical engineer, do you think as financial means I can submit a part time job contract from the restaurant request to confirm?

Nobody gets job in germany after reaching there..have anyone got the job from both of you ??
Getting a job isn’t something anyone can guarantee, no matter where you are. It takes personal effort, resilience, and belief in yourself-just like it does in India. When many people in India don’t secure a job immediately after earning a degree, they don’t give up on education or their dreams. Instead, they believe in themselves, build their skills, and work hard to reach their goals. It’s the same here in Germany. Each person’s path is unique, and everyone chooses their own level of struggle. For us, we chose this path in the hope of building a better future, and we’re happy with our decision. We know that taking this step was the right choice for us, and we’re confident it will pay off. It’s also important to remember that job placement isn’t solely the government’s responsibility. Governments can create opportunities, but it’s up to individuals to make the most of them. The government has opened doors with the Opportunity Card, but securing a job ultimately depends on each person’s skills, effort, and determination. Since arriving, we’ve attended professional events, expanded our network, and opened up job opportunities across the EU in places like the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. Moving here has unlocked not just Germany’s job market, but the entire EU’s. And while we haven’t secured a job yet, we’re actively interviewing, and several rounds have gone well. Yes, competition is everywhere-and who knows this better than those of us from India? But if you take things step-by-step, stay determined, and believe in your potential, the opportunities here are huge. For those who are willing to work for it, this journey is full of possibilities and growth.
Hi, On Anabin Database my University is listed H+ but No course degree listed within same page. While BSc degree is mentioned on seprate degree section. Do i need ZAB verification or provide Separate printout one for University and one for Degree. I have appointment next Month. Please let me know. Thanks
Hi! Since your university is listed as H+ on the Anabin database and your BSc degree on a separate section, you’ll need to provide separate printouts: one showing the university’s H+ status and another for the degree status. This should be sufficient for your appointment, so no additional ZAB verification should be necessary according to us.
Hello sir, my appointment is on 2 December, should I mention my start date to travel on 27 December? or what should be minimum days of gap between appointment and start travel date.
I would suggest keeping at least a one-month gap between your visa appointment and your intended travel date, as it generally takes around a month to receive an approval. However, the travel start date you mention on the application isn’t critical-it only takes effect once your visa is approved. For instance, if you list 15th December but your visa is approved on 10th January, the visa period will start from 10th January, so you won’t lose any days. Consider how much time you’ll need to wrap things up in India after receiving the visa. People often choose a longer gap to handle any remaining preparations comfortably. Also, traveling just before New Year’s may be costly due to high demand, so you might want to set a start date in mid-January for better accommodation options. Feel free to reach out if you need further guidance, or book a session with us on TopMate at "bit.ly/4edopMp".
Hi Brother, my mechanical engineering degree is fully recognize in anabin but I'm having 7 experience in IT. does it create problem or need to justify reasons with interviewer? (my education and experience is different)..... any guidance on it ?
Hi Brother! Since your mechanical engineering degree is fully recognized in Anabin and you have 7 years of experience in IT, this shouldn't be a major issue. At the interview, you can clarify that your career path evolved into IT, which is common for engineering graduates. You could explain that engineering education covers a range of subjects, and mechanical engineering was simply your area of specialization. If you’re aiming to work in IT in Germany, it aligns well with your experience, so it’s unlikely to cause any issues. The 7 years of experience alone is substantial proof of your expertise and career commitment.
Hello , thanks for the informative video. I am yet to get a visa appointment for the chancenkarte, but there is consultancy which is saying that if i go through them then i do not have to show the full proof of funds rather only 6-7 lakhs in savings account. Is that legit ? Or are they just claiming falsely. Please if you would have any insight here it will be really helpful. Do these consultants have any say in embassies
Hello, and thank you for watching the video! Regarding consultancies, it’s unlikely that any consultancy has influence over the German embassy to treat an application differently. Full proof of funds is generally required for the Opportunity Card visa, so be cautious if they claim you only need 6-7 lakhs in savings. It’s possible they may be applying for a 6-month Opportunity Card instead of the standard 12 months to meet this lower fund requirement. Consultancies often charge high fees, ranging from 40-50k or more, for services that you can manage on your own with the right guidance. If you need support, you can connect with us via TopMate sessions, which are much more cost-effective than typical consultancy fees.
Hi bro, my name is Vineeth A in certificates and in Adhar, but in passport it's full name Vineeth Azhakankumarath, is there any issue?
Hi Vineeth! Typically, for the Opportunity Card Visa, it’s best if your name is consistent across all documents to avoid any confusion during the process. Since your passport has your full name but your certificates and Aadhaar show a shortened version, it may raise questions during verification. To prevent issues, you may want to consider getting an affidavit or notarized letter explaining the difference, confirming that both names refer to you. This can help ensure a smoother visa process.
I got my opportunity card visa. My tentative travel dates for the application were 5/11. Is there a timeline in which I have to fly? Can I postpone flying to next year early?
Congratulations on receiving your Opportunity Card visa! There’s no specific timeline by which you have to fly. You can travel at any point during the visa’s validity period. It’s a multiple-entry visa, meaning you’re free to travel back and forth between India and Germany as needed, as long as you stay within the visa’s one-year validity. The last valid date should be clearly mentioned on your visa. To help you with your first steps after arriving in Germany, such as city registration, accommodation options, and other post-landing essentials, feel free to book a one-on-one session with us. We’ll guide you through everything you need to settle in smoothly : bit.ly/3z7VaeO
Can you please share something about the cost of food in Singapore
Hey, the cost of food in Singapore varies depending on where you eat. At hawker centers or local food courts, meals are typically quite affordable, ranging from SGD 4 to 10 per meal. If you prefer dining at mid-range restaurants, it can cost around SGD 20 to 40 per person. In Little India(Near Mustafa Center), there are also some great and affordable options, with meals available from SGD 6 to 12.
@@TravelCuddlers23 , thank you
i have applied for oc on july month (chennai consulate) still i haven’t received any email, any idea? when should i get the email?
Waiting times can vary, and it's normal to experience delays, especially with the high demand. Make sure to check your email (including spam) and the VFS portal regularly. Unfortunately, there’s no set timeline, but you may hear back soon. In the meantime, ensure your documents are ready.
please mention what to do if no surname no house number and reference person name etc
If you’re referring to the Videx form, you can fill in "NA" for fields like Reference person details if they don't apply to you. For the surname field, you can either leave it blank or write "NA" if you don’t have a surname mentioned on your passport. Feel free to reach out if you need more guidance and book our Topmate sessions or the full package at "bit.ly/4edopMp".
@@TravelCuddlers23 u cannot lv it blank or just put NA
Some systems may require at least one name in both the first and last name fields, in that case you can repeat your first name in the surname field. This ensures that your form is accepted without issues and convey the same at the time of your Visa Interview. This isn't a blocker, and they will fix it on spot. So don't worry about that.
I needed 2 additional information, 1) The fulltime/regular degree confirmation is required from College or from University? 2) Is the confirmation required via Attested letter/bonafied or just a simple mail from the University/college will do? Kindly do reply as i have my interview scheduled in next week
1. The full-time/regular degree confirmation needs to come from your college. 2. The confirmation must be provided via an attested letter-a simple email will not be sufficient. The letter should be on the official college letterhead, signed, and stamped by the appropriate authority.
Thanks alot
I have watched all 3 parts videos, but you were unable to explain the timeline , Like which thing or which form to fill first, Like first VFS portal registration or Videx ? Could you tell us the exact timeline and order of forms to fill. Thanks in advance !!
Thank you for watching all the videos! We’ve created each part in sequence to help with better understanding, but the waiting timeline isn’t fixed, as it can vary for each individual. You’ll need to fill out the VFS portal registration first and after that the Videx form and all other documents must be ready and submitted together at the time of your visa interview. The key is to ensure that all documents are complete and ready by your interview date since they will ask for everything at once.
@@TravelCuddlers23 thanks team !!
Hello sir, if a person goes to Germany on student visa masters degree can he take his spouse with himself together or the spouse can join later and how much time would that take?
If a person is going to Germany on a student visa for a master's degree, they typically cannot take their spouse along right away. The spouse would need to apply for a dependent visa later, after the student has completed the required formalities in Germany, such as registering with the university and securing accommodation. The processing time for a dependent visa can vary, but it generally takes around 2-4 months after submission of the application. It’s important to check the specific requirements with the consulate or embassy, as additional documents like proof of financial means, accommodation, and health insurance will be needed for the dependent visa.
If a person gets this opportunity card, will he be able to take his spouse together with himself or they can apply later through dependent visa
If a person receives the Opportunity Card, they cannot take their spouse along immediately unless the spouse applies for their own Opportunity Card separately. You can only bring your spouse on a dependent visa after you secure a job and convert your visa to a category that allows dependent family members to join you, such as the EU Blue Card.
In what time you got your visa stamped after you have submitted your documents to embassy for OC?
It took around 5 weeks for me to get my visa stamped after submitting all the documents to the embassy for the Opportunity Card. However, processing times can vary.
Really Nice. Can we do the city registration by staying at Airbnb or hotel or do we need to find an accommodation then do a city registration??
Thank you! As far as I know, hotels don’t provide city registration, but you can check with your Airbnb host if they’re willing to fill out and sign the city registration form if you plan to stay longer. Once you move to Germany and stay in any accommodation, including Airbnb, you’ll have 14 days to register yourself with the city. If not done within this time frame, there’s a possibility you could face a fine.
@@TravelCuddlers23 Thank you so much for the clarity.
Nice Video, did you face language problem? From the airport to the Taxi driver and host spoke English?
Thank you! Yes, while knowing German definitely helps and makes things easier, you can still get by with English. Most people, including my Uber driver and Airbnb host, spoke enough English to communicate, and they made an effort to help. I’ve shared more about this experience in my accommodation review video, so you can check that out as well.
@@TravelCuddlers23 Sure will check the video, thank you so much.
Hey nice video, I have my visa interview in November, most of my funds are from my monthly salary, hope that is fine. Please suggest booking an actual accommodation where I can stay after landing in Germany.
Thank you! I’m glad you found the video helpful. As for your visa interview, if most of your funds are from your monthly salary, that should be fine as long as you can clearly prove the source of funds through your salary slips and bank statements. Just make sure there are no sudden large transfers that could raise questions. For accommodation, I recommend booking something with free cancellation on platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb. You can refer to my video where I explain how to book accommodation with free cancellation for the Opportunity Card process. Feel free to reach out if you need more guidance on the process and book our Topmate sessions or even the full package at “bit.ly/4edopMp”.
Hi I have certified with A1 And i am from teaching background So do you have any idea or suggestions about this profession. Thank you
Hi! Congratulations on achieving your A1 certification! As someone from a teaching background, you have some good opportunities in Germany, especially in the education sector, language teaching, or even corporate training. However, teaching jobs in Germany often require proficiency in German, typically B1 or higher, depending on the subject and level you’re aiming to teach. Since you’re already certified in A1, I would suggest continuing your language learning to B1 or B2 to increase your chances of securing a teaching job. Additionally, it’s important to ensure that your teaching qualifications are recognized in Germany, which you can check via the Anabin database. Also, networking through platforms like LinkedIn and job portals such as StepStone or Indeed Germany can be helpful to find relevant teaching opportunities. Feel free to reach out if you need more guidance on the process and book our Topmate sessions or the full package at bit.ly/4edopMp
Hi, could please give me more details about the travel insurance section, travel details, start date and End date, coverage type and coverage level? because I am not Sure about the start and end Date. Please?
For your travel & insurance related to the Opportunity Card visa, here’s what you need to know: 1. Travel Details (Start & End Date): The start date should align with your planned date of arrival in Germany. For example, if you plan to arrive on 1st April 2025, then that should be your start date for travel & health insurance, accommodation and VIDEX form. The end date should typically cover at least the initial weeks of your stay, or up to 3 months, until your health insurance is activated. If you’re unsure, you can book travel insurance for 1-3 months, giving you enough time to settle. 2. Coverage Type: Most visa applications covers basic travel-related risks like medical emergencies and accidents. If you’re still unsure, platforms like Expatrio offer travel and health insurance plans for Opportunity Card visa, ensuring you’re covered from the start of your journey. Feel free to reach out if you need more guidance on the process and book our Topmate sessions or even the full package at “bit.ly/4edopMp”.
Mam is it complesary for block ac ???
not mandatory, but they will check if the amount in your account is suddenly added, if thats the case they will straight away reject it. Its better to have blocked account.
So while a blocked account is the most commonly accepted proof of financial stability for the Opportunity Card visa, it’s not the only option. If you can demonstrate sufficient funds through bank balance statements or have a German sponsor who can provide a financial guarantee, that may work as well. However, using a blocked account is often the easiest and most straightforward method, as it is widely recognized by German authorities. It’s important to ensure that your funds are transparent and traceable to avoid any concerns during the visa process.
Thanks for the information!
Hello sir gurmeet Issue regarding travel insurance
You can easily book travel insurance through Expatrio. They offer comprehensive coverage that meets the requirements for the Opportunity Card visa.
My proof of accommodation is going to be my sister’s apartment in ffm. For the city registration, who should be filling out the anmeldung form? Any guidance? My visa is not yet in. It will be tentatively received on 18th oct.
Your sister will need to fill out the Anmeldung form, where she’ll provide details such as your arrival date in Germany, the date she’s submitting the form, along with both your signatures, the address, and a few other details. This will serve as your official city registration.
It’s a rented accommodation. Will that work?
Then your sister will need to provide landlord’s confirmation, which confirms that she is allowed to register you at the address. The form will need to be filled out by the landlord or property owner, giving permission for your registration at the rented apartment.

Hi brother I am traveling this semester in germany tourist visa 15 days I want now apply opportunity card my friend Germany citizen.i want no open blocked account.germany citizen sponsor are ligibal for opportunity card visa
Hi! You can register on the VFS portal, add yourself to the waitlist, and follow the steps I’ve explained in my videos. Make sure you have all your documents ready for the Opportunity Card application. As for having a German citizen sponsor, it typically won’t exempt you from providing proof of financial stability, like a blocked account. The Opportunity Card visa requires you to demonstrate that you can support yourself financially, so having a sponsor may not fulfill this requirement. However, in this scenario, your friend’s consent letter may help you skip the accommodation proof, as he can confirm that you’ll be staying in his apartment. He will need to register on your behalf, stating that he will take care of your accommodation.
Is this Visa is for Complete 1 year or can we apply for less than 12 months of period? On German Embassy page there is no specific information written just written that up to 12 month. So please guide can we apply for less than 12 months or so?
Based on my knowledge, during the visa interview, you can specify that you’d like the visa for 6 months instead of the full 12 months. The available options are typically for 6 or 12 months, and your choice will determine the required proof of funds and accommodation. You’ll need to adjust these documents accordingly to match the duration of your visa request. Hi Suketu, congratulations to both of you and thanks for sharing such a valuable information. I had a question, I have completed my Bachelors of Commerce degree from an University having H+ status and my degree is also verified from Anabin website as A3. Can I apply for opportunity card under option 1. Or do my degree need to carry a status of A4 or A5 to apply under option 1?
Hi! Thank you so much. Since your university has an H+ status and your degree is verified on Anabin, you should be eligible to apply for the Opportunity Card under Option 1. There’s no specific need for your degree to have an A4 or A5 status to apply under this option. Bro, I am providing sufficient bank balance statements and not going for blocked amount. Also thinking of booking accomodation for 3 to 6 months for the Visa interview. Now in these conditions should i be booking travel insurance and health insurance separately? And If so, then for how much period should i book, if travel date mentioned is say 1st April 25?
If you’re providing sufficient bank balance statements and booking accommodation for 3 to 6 months, you’ll still need to arrange both travel insurance and health insurance separately for your visa interview. You should at least book travel insurance for the first 3 months and health insurance for a full year. I would also recommend booking accommodation for the entire year if possible-it won’t cost you anything upfront. You can check my other video on how to book accommodation with free cancellation. Both your accommodation and health insurance should start from your planned arrival date in Germany, which is 1st April 2025 in your case. Also, make sure to check my latest video on the most common reasons for visa rejection and how to avoid them, to ensure your application is strong. The rent for this Airbnb is €700 per month without heating. I opted for the heating-inclusive option, which brings the total to around €900 per month.

Yes, you can still apply for the Opportunity Card visa at the age of 44. The Opportunity Card is based on a points system, which considers factors such as your qualifications, work experience, language skills, and ties to Germany. While age may slightly reduce your points, your professional experience can significantly strengthen your profile. If you have relevant qualifications and skills that are in demand in Germany, along with other factors like German language proficiency, you still stand a good chance. I recommend checking the points system criteria to see where you stand overall and gathering strong documentation to support your application. FOR PROOF OF PERSONAL STATUS - Can aadhar card,10th pass certificate & marksheet is okay if we don't have birth certificate
A birth certificate is mandatory for the Opportunity Card Visa. It must be either in English or translated into German if it’s in a regional language. Unfortunately, documents like the Aadhaar card, 10th pass certificate, or marksheet are not sufficient as proof of personal status in place of a birth certificate.
How long before should I open blocked account? Thank you so much dear apu...best wishes for you...
It’s generally recommended to open your blocked account about 3 to 4 weeks before your visa appointment. This will give you enough time to transfer funds and receive the required confirmation to show at your visa interview. Make sure you have this proof ready by the time you attend your appointment, as it’s one of the key documents.
I have already applied for appointment & I got waiting period of 6 to 8 weeks, without opening blocked account! What should I do now? Very grateful to you....@@TravelCuddlers23

A motivational letter is what I am getting conscious of as how and what to write..Bitte bruda, request for help. I have 7 years of experience in MARKETING & SALES with 3 different companies put together.. Will I be able to get a job as you are there & you practically see the environment, please guide..Your videos have crystal clear answers so asking because of the same. Where to initially come (state / area) for search of job? Danke
Thank you for reaching out, and I’m glad you found the videos helpful! Yes, We’ll try to release a video on writing a Motivational Letter / Statement of Purpose for the Chancenkarte soon. It’s an important document, and I can understand why you’re conscious about getting it right. The key is to clearly explain your goals, how your skills and experience align with the Opportunity Card, and why you’re interested in working in Germany. As for the VFS appointment, it’s a good idea to book your VFS appointment as soon as possible, especially since the wait times can be long. While waiting for the appointment, you can gather all the necessary documents. Since you already have your education certificates verified from Anabin, job applications made, and funds arranged, you’re on the right track! Regarding your Aadhaar card as a birth certificate alternative-typically, Aadhaar is not accepted for this purpose. Your 10th marksheet, driving license, and passport are helpful for identification, but you may need to get an official birth certificate in English or get it translated to German. As for finding a job in Germany, with your 7 years of experience in Marketing & Sales, you have a good chance, but you’ll need to focus on networking and applying to relevant roles in your field. LinkedIn is a great platform for this, and you can also explore job portals like StepStone or Indeed Germany. When it comes to which state/area to initially target, cities like Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt have a strong demand for marketing and sales professionals. These are good places to begin your job search, but ultimately, it depends on your preferences and job opportunities in your field. Good luck!
@@TravelCuddlers23 Thank you for your response.. I will stay in touch & will wait for your video.. Where are you in Germany? I will positively apply for vfs appointment as early as possible.. I will target the said locations and what are the main ways to develop networking? I have started with duolingo after viewing your video & what page should I attach with my file from duolingo which shows that I am flexible and have started to work for cultural acceptance as I reach in upcoming country.. Can I come for 20 days on leave after fetching visa & search for job keeping my present job entact in India.. Which are the economical area to find a accommodation as I say PG in Dlf phase 1 if I say of Gurgaon.. Please advise, danke..
We are currently based in Hanau, near Frankfurt. Look for LinkedIn groups, Facebook groups, and forums specific to your field. Germany has many active expat communities and networks that can help. To strengthen your file, you can attach a screenshot of your Duolingo profile showing your current progress, score, and the month you joined. This will demonstrate your effort toward language learning. If you’re considering visiting Germany for a short time, like 20 days, it’s up to you, but it may not be very effective unless you have interviews already lined up. Additionally, flight costs can add up, so weigh these factors carefully. For budget accommodation, it really depends on the city and your preferences. Areas near smaller cities or suburban areas are usually more affordable, but I’d recommend doing some research based on your location preferences.
Hi, congratulations first of all secondlly, i just want to know if i am planning to move to germany in the month of december last then Is it fine to apply for opportunity card visa in the month of november?
Thank you! First of all, congratulations on your decision to move to Germany. In terms of timing, I would strongly recommend booking your VFS appointment as soon as possible. On the Videx form, you can mention your intended travel date in December. Keep in mind that there is typically a long waiting period for appointments, so applying in November may cut it close. If you apply now, you might just get an interview slot by the end of November. After the interview, it can take around one month or more for the visa processing to complete. This timeline is based on the process at the New Delhi embassy, so make sure to account for possible delays. Good luck with your application!
@@TravelCuddlers23 Sure, thanks so much for the reply!
You are really awesome! Thank you once again... my masters degree is accepted by german but hon's degree is not accepted...is it accepted to apply only masters degree or should I have to evaluate my hon's degree? Please and TIA
Thank you so much! If your master’s degree is accepted by the German authorities and is listed in the Anabin database as H+, you should be fine to apply using just your master’s degree. There’s no strict requirement to evaluate your honors degree if your highest qualification is already recognized. However, if you feel your honors degree adds significant value to your profile, or if you want to keep it on hand for additional purposes (like future job applications), you can still get it evaluated, but it’s not a must for the Opportunity Card visa. Good luck with your application!
Thank you from BD@@TravelCuddlers23
A lots of tnx to you, by watching your video finally I am able submit my videx file & successfully downloaded it...would you like to say then what should do?
You’re very welcome! I’m glad the video helped you submit your Videx form successfully. Now that you’ve downloaded your form, the next step is to schedule your VFS appointment if you haven’t done so already. Make sure to prepare all the necessary documents for the appointment, including your passport, proof of financial means, proof of accommodation, travel insurance, and any other relevant certificates like your degree etc. You should also review your documents thoroughly to ensure everything is in order for the interview.

Is it neccessary to show attended interview details for LOM? How can I attend interviews from India? Can we just LinkedIn openings? Is it fine?
It’s not mandatory to show attended interview details for the Letter of Motivation (LOM), but it can certainly strengthen your application if you have proof of job search efforts. Many applicants include details of interviews or communications with potential employers to demonstrate serious intent. If you’re applying from India, attending interviews remotely is a valid option. You can mention your efforts in reaching out to potential employers, including applying for relevant roles through LinkedIn and other job portals. In your LOM, it’s important to convey that you’re actively pursuing job opportunities in Germany and have the required skills for the roles you’re targeting, but attending interviews is not strictly necessary if you have strong evidence of your job search.
