Showcasing various video game things.
World Discovery Deluxe
World Discovery Deluxe is an educational game published by Great Wave Software during the mid-90's. Geography galore. You can get pretty selective on what you want to study, from regions and countries, to official currencies and other miscellaneous trivia.
Also: a fairly decent test of recording a Win9x machine. I used DOSBox-X to emulate a copy of Windows 95.

Reading Mansion Playthrough - Mansions 49-50 (FINALE!)
Просмотров 5333 года назад
This is the final video of my Reading Mansion playthrough series, featuring mansions 49 and 50. Fifty mansions done, and a full portrait room. I hope I showed everything off during this playthrough, just so you all could catch a glimpse of things you remember about this game. When I first googled it years ago, I was shocked that even the world wide web had only traces of evidence that this game...
Reading Mansion Playthrough - Mansions 47-48

This continuation features mansions 47 and 48 from the 1998 edutainment game Reading Mansion. I hope the reward when you finish all the mansions is being able to banish Burton Badger from the mansion, it's really cool that in mansion 47 you don't see any ladders until the final two rooms so you can't get around Burton earlier. - The older Reading Mansion videos I made were pretty low quality, s...

This continuation features mansions 45 and 46 from the 1998 edutainment game Reading Mansion. I lied in the description of my last video, I apologize. They're squeezing in some more mansions in that last row. Should be able to show off more minigames at least! - The older Reading Mansion videos I made were pretty low quality, so I'm starting from scratch and will play through further mansions w...

This continuation features mansions 43 and 44 from the 1998 edutainment game Reading Mansion. Only one or two mansions left after this video I think, the portrait room is looking pretty full. I'll try to adjust the skill level yet again for the next video to show off all of the available minigames, but odds are I may miss one or two! - The older Reading Mansion videos I made were pretty low qua...
Reading Mansion Playthrough - Mansions 41-42

This continuation features mansions 41 and 42 from the 1998 edutainment game Reading Mansion. I tried to up the difficulty while ingame, apparently you can only do it outside of the game with the Custom Mansion tool. Oh well, next video I'm upping it to the 3rd grade level since we're almost finished. The mansions are starting to get really wacky: number 42 has a ton of dark rooms, and one room...

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Shivering Isles Test Cells

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Shivering Isles Test Cells
Brings back so many memories!!
I loved Encarta! The go-to encyclopedia before Wikipedia. For the longest time, I didn't know that you could bypass the intro by clicking on the screen, so I sat through the intro each time and eventually memorized the order that the various pictures popped up.
6 year old me in the 90s getting every answer incorrect. Now I know all the answers lol.
I used to play this game too!
8:29 Kill Jester
Does anyone recall a point-and-click in the mid 90's where you had to use Da Vinci's inventions to escape from somewhere or get around somehow?
Este era de lo mejor
My parents gave me this wonderful game when I was very little. It's a treasure!
This is lost media to us today, My science teacher showed us the Biology song, AND I LOVE ITT
The boiler room always scared me as a kid
0:47 feels like those tiny drum breaks in songs. (I don’t know what they’re called.)
Damn, so nostalgic my old pc has encarta normal (the blue i forget its name) and encarta kids
So you’re not a smart guy 😂
In this game's predecessor, Reading Maze, the elf that did the same thing as Burton Badger could be tracked by the player in that the room where the elf was would flash on the player's map, and the flash would move from room to room. Whereas in this game, one could not track where Burton Badger was because there would be no flash to look out for on the map.
OMG HOW DID I GET HERE 🥹🥹🥹🥹
I've always remembered Mindmaze, but I just barely thought of RUclips searching it instead of just missing it. I played a lot of this, and the classic art quiz. I also remember the world instrument quiz.
Those dinosaurs smiles are very unsettling, it used to creep me out as a kid.
Oh my god. The amount of nostalgia is insane
Used to play this during my childhood days. Now 32, damn I miss being young.
I loved this and matching the instruments to their geographic regions.
They did not have to go so hard with these songs, dang. I’m so glad they did
Oh my Gosh! How nostalgic! I loved this as a kid!
This is why i am deeply fascinated with medieval games
i dont know why but this game make me feel uncomfortable and creeped out back those days as a kid
any reason you didnt just toggle god mode on?
OH MY GOD CORE MEMORY FINALLY UNLOCKED
Omg so many memories
It reminds of waiting for my turn to use computer just to play mind maze
Has anyone found a good virtual machine or emulator for Mac? Dying to play
Now, I never played this. I can only wish I had, because the late 90's/early 00's infotainment atmosphere is both something that I was immersed in and relished as a kid, and something comforting and familiar as an adult. Good on those of you who got to experience this :) (also sorry if my words are a bit difficult to parse.)
How did you get the Traveller's apparel set?
Can you please make a short video of using the 'coc BrumaTests' command while your at the City Isle of the Imperial Waterfront? I would just like to know if your character will spawn correctly in the Bruma Tests area without going out of bounds.
4:41 TestFireLights seems to have the same layout with the Weynon Priory House.
Fun fact: This was the master emerald’s first debut before Sonic & Knuckles
I remember that cat
Can we go back to these times? I wish we could. If encarta made a genuine comeback, I'd support it. Internet resources have become so questionable, so many distractions, and unfortunately too much politics instead of clear straight factual information being presented like it was in the 90s.
Encyclopia Brittanica is still an online resource.
This was so fun to play!!!
Oh god, I forgot about the horrendous unskippable Encarta intro!! I’m delighted that other people are into this as much as I am, though my sister and I *always* picked Sports, Hobbies, and Pets, probably because we thought we had the best chance of getting things right. I answered SO many questions about Lou Gehrig and King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. ETA: The last question being what it is is fucking poetic to me now I told you it was Lou Gehrig
IvE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS!!! I barely understood what the hell was going on but i loved looking at the pictures and the aspect of it being a game so much that i always tried playing it
These songs were my jam 😂
Wasn't there audio of someone saying, i challenge you to a duel of the mind?
Started listening to Window96's album How To See Through Walls, paused it, and immediately came here to see how grown ups play this game.
Loved the hecc out of this game as a kid. Thanks for giving me a means of showing it to my husband!
I can't tell you what a jump scare Henrietta hippo was for me as a child lmfao
I loved this game. So many good memories and hours spent on this one
Thanks for sharing this. I have been trying for almost 10 years to remember what the name of a CD with various information and trivia. I use to play this almost daily after getting home from school. Wish I could play this again. I had more fun learning new things through this game, than I did in school.
I remember playing this, I just don't know where. I know my dad had encarta 2006, and later 2009 installed
Omg, I don’t remember the music being so Mp3’y
New Mexico???? Bro
This game is a classic. I remember sitting and playing with my brother when I was in 1st grade back in 1995. The nostalgia. I am at a loss for words! Thank you for this upload! The good ol days..
