Been bow hunting since the early 80's. When mechanicals were invented i switched to them. Won't say any names but i used one for 15 years. I do not like change. I like to find something that works and stick with it. Well they quit making the heads i was using and when i went to switch, they're were hundreds of different models to choose from. I did hours, days, weeks and months worth of research and ended up choosing the sevr.john lusks videos closed the deal for me. I doubt I'll ever use another another broadhead other than sevr for as long as I'm alive. Best broadhead on the market period.

He said it. You gotta slow your bow down to shoot a fixed blade. In my experience when a fixed blade is going 300fps its very unforgiving and hard to tune. Why would we buy all these wizz bang fast bows then back it down to shoot a fixed blade?

I shot a mature buck 70lb bow huge entry hole 535gr arrow right behind the shoulder at 20 yds no pass through little blood fortunately dog found it. I couldn’t believe it and still can’t figure it out. Did not hit off side shoulder. I really want to trust these but Ive never had that happen with a rage.

Nice broadheads, just bought some 1.5” and 1.75”. I got the 125gn, the 1.75 all at 125gn, however the 1.5 are 120gn. It makes no sense to be 5 grains out from states weight. Still looking forward to using them this year for whitetail, possibly moose.

I have six kills with various Sevr's.(1.5, 1.7, 1.75) All had larger than advertised diameter entry wounds. Some cuts through the lungs and heart were even over the advertised diameter. All of the passthroughs had advertised diameter cuts. The pivots saved my butt twice. One time was hitting the humerus on entry and the other was hitting the spine on entry. I have yet to damage a ferrule. These are easily the best mechanical's I have ever shot.

Had terrible results with the 2.0 titanium…super small cuts and terrible blood trials. That was with a ravin shooting 450fps.. are they not designed for that speed? Maybe better for bows?

I have had 3 experiences with these. 1.(doe had a shoulder shot had the 1.5 max penetration did not penetrate deep enough for the vitals. 2(doe) in the vitals, never found deer. I was so confused I questioned if they shipped in practice mode. 3(buck) my buddy who loves these broadheads smoked a small buck and the blood trail was not great, we did find the deer but minimal blood. I will say the structure of the broadheads is excellent. You can reuse them, I’ve just had terrible luck getting blood trails with these. Try them for yourself, maybe your results would be different.

Been bowhunting since 1990. You have an EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND DESIGN. I switched from compound to crossbow 2 years ago. I love the ROBUSTO and that’s what I use now period. I’d love to see a 1.5 150 grain developed by you guys as an option but what you already have is great. I shoot HEAVY bolts the combination is awesome.

You and I are very close in specs. My draw length (DL) is 27.25”. I’m running about 75lbs of draw weight. At around 290fps, I’m in about 77ke, and .52 momentum.

I shot my elk with a 4 blade mini mag from grim reaper. I hit a rib on the entrance and it didn't pass all the way through but it broke the skin on the exit side the broadhead looked like it had never bin shot . I know all this single bevel heavy arrow crap is just marketing now

Appreciate your honest thoughts man. I’m going with mechanicals too (evolution Hydes). I want the absolute best chance of my arrow hitting behind the pin, and I tune my bows to the best of my abilities. Fixed heads are awesome, but especially when my heart rate is up or I’m shooting weird angles, mechanicals are just more forgiving. Thanks for sharing your experiences, gives me confidence if I end up dropping arrow weight.

I agree totally! Well made fixed headers are amazing. It’s just tough to get a fixed to fly when jittered up, in the wind, and at distance. I’m with ya bud!👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
