As a former International main, I get the feeling Childe is one of if not the most misunderstood character in the EN community as opposed to the CN community and I get why, his popularity isn't that high and there is no content creator that accurately gauge him (other than Jamie), which often leads to a lot of misleading info or misinformation. For casual players, no he's not really worth it unless you like him. For meta-focused players, he's solid if you like him or want to invest into the national team. A lot of his value has dropped upon release of different team archetypes like hyperbloom, Neuvilette, Mualani, Arlecchino, Mavuika and so on and so forth. If we are strictly comparing damage ceiling, his teams can still compete with them, only slightly below. The issue was never damage but the fact you are constrained by the nature of Bennett's circle impact + difficulty of getting Kazuha's double swirl for certain content, on the contrary, you're less punished or penalized for other on-fielders. Now while the circle impact issue still very much exists, the release of Emilie, Xilonen and Citlali has alleviated the double swirl jank. Now finally with the release of Mavuika, you have a fully functional and optimal Childe-Mavuika team variants that can perform as good as International or even better (since it fixes a lot of the issues difficulty wise like not needing circle impact for Mavuika Xianling flex or not needing Xianling at all). In summary, his International team is still very solid in this meta, it's decent at ST and one of the best for AoE, still one of the best low cost teams (feels better than most low cost teams, including Neuvilette's) unlike some other teams that have restrictions or shortcomings such as AoE like Kinich, Hu Tao, Chasca and so on and so forth. If the standards are Neuvilette and Arlecchino and so on, he's not really worth it for you. If the standards are more like Navia, Clorinde, Kinich, Chasca, Raiden etc. then yeah he is a solid pick if you actually learn to play him, he has a learning curve but a rewarding one. This video doesn't represent his team's true strengths, if anything must be taken, it should be that he is not really for casuals. For the damage showcases, all of them were non optimal since there is no double swirl so the only buff Childe got was Bennett's buff otherwise he should be easily dealing 250-300k+ on the burst. His relevant team compositions now are International with Kazuha, Emilie, Xilonen, Citlali, Mavuika flex and burgeon teams with Emilie and Mavuika teams and lastly a very niche case scenario where you use him as a support for Neuvilette teams. So yeah if you like him and want him but afraid that his team damage will be disappointing then you won't need to worry he is still solid but if you are comparing him to like Neuvilette then no he's not gonna feel as good.

8:30, in the middle u can swap to xilonen and use her skill if u want, it saves like 1 second but its like enough to comfortably destroy shield. Like at the star after u use furina skill and xilonen skill and burst and then u can use mauvika burst and normal attacks and after 6 seconds, u can use xilonen's skill and again swap to furina use elemental skill and destroy shield with normal attacks, this way the shield can be destroyed a little more comfortably and also since u used mauvika skill last and before that xilonen skill u can get the burst ready when its shield breaks. You can do it normally too like you did but this makes it a tad more comfortable without the need for resets

well i learned something nice today , i usually skip the buffs till the last 2 areas to "know which reaction to focus on" , but i'll try your method next time

I play him with Sethos! (Tighnari, Sethos, Nahida and Zhongli). I love Tighnari with all my heart and his kit has good synergy with Sethos since I prefer to use his energy energy for a quick charged attack. Juuuust make sure you have good ER for Sethos (I personally am working on it 🥲). Honestly the quickswap playstyle is just so much fun. Another fun one is Tighnari, Sethos, Yelan and Kazuha. Emphasis on fun, not strongest one. It’s not the “best” team but it’s fun to trample enemies with Yelan, get them Hydro swirled and neatly rounded together with Kazuha’s CC, taunt them all at once with Tighnari’s skill, trigger some Dendro cores and hyperbloom them with Sethos. Really fun for over world enemies and the like. I hope they rerun Hunter’s Path one day so I can get him his sig weapon. 🥹❤

This was so cool! As someone who barely has like 7 semi well built characters, I didnt even manage to get past the geo vishap. XD Now that i leveled my Mavuika I will try again but seeing something like this is actually motivating me to build my 4 stars, could be a good way to use the 50 Resin Moons i have saved up lol

I like his hyperbloom team with raiden furina and nahida better I have c6 fischl but the damage is that good

He's very fun with venti and other quadratic scaling characters (rip device) just ranged burst and swap, riptide be splish splash afk proc I'd usually pair him with venti albedo and other PEC user (currently ororon)

btw has this every happened to anyone here like, I save up all the good character to the end like out of fear like what if we dont have good characters and so like the first few floors, I spend like 50 mins trying to get all stars because of like very weak characters mostly like on of the given characters and rest lvl 70 ones and like the last 4-5 chambers I just speedrun it in 10 mins Also for the defense mechanism, if u are stuck with character with like very very low dps then u can choose the ruin guard one because only one ruin guard will spawn at a time and u can easily distract it, u dont even need to do dmg to to it, just distract it till the timer runs out

I was so confused with kazuha echo, I though I had to get affected by electro and cryo for each stage and then swirl but then I realized I can just absorb, glide and then input the element. Also for suanni u dont need hydro since it turns to a hydro like body so cryo will be able to directly freeze it

this Imaginarium theater is perfect for me who actually pulls for cryo characters, and the 5 people in genshin who actually plays Geo and build more than 2 geo characters lol

I replaced my c2 kazuha with c2 citali. The dmg boost is INSANE tornados go from 50k per rotation to 74k

double atk% artifacts witha low base attack weapon and character is kinda based, I think double EM artifacts wouldve proved better if your going vape (~180 em?)

I got C6 Tartaglia back in 1.4 and he has not left my abyss teams ever since, I really love his playstyle at C6 and hes just... good as a DPS with the cracked supports that we have now.

Overall he is standard 5 star level strength. (Diluc and Tighnari perform better in my tests) And the international team is the only playable team for him. I give him an A rating.

tartaglia e, kazuha q, bennet e and q, kazuha e (hold and plunge), xiangling e and q, tartaglia burst, his e and then normal attacks and charged. - this is the standard rotation

Tartaglia is still worth it tho. He's an electro spread unit right now, for clearing waves of tons of enemies. He isnt Meta tho, if thats what you mean. Very different things

I am never gonna bench him even though i have all other hydro. But yeah his kit is completely aged. New hydros do 3x to 5x the damage with 1/3 the complexity of his rotation.

i started this game for him back in 2021 and he’s the reason why i’m still playing the game. he’s my first and only c6 character <3 i love trying new teams with him because i’m getting kinda sick from childe international (+ his c4 can ruin the rotation if not careful). i’m really enjoying childe - citlali - furina - xilonen team right now! his damage output is surprisingly similar to international

you can replace xiangling or kazuha with nahdia and u get childe intergrassional (because nahida = dendro = grass) and its not the best but its still a really fun team comp. Its even more viable if u have staff of scarlet sands because then xiangling can go full em

I use her as a sup dps with citlali bennett and mavuika dps She's really good in this team Not only for her good dmg as a sup dps but also she has really good cryo application So u can melt all of your hits with mavuika

You SHould've done the em sands with that xilonen xianlinmg team to show a fair comparisin for more em
