What is the thread you have used
Normal Sewing thread.
What kind of nails do you use? Won't that get rust after some months? The nails i use get rusted😢
Use galvanized nails.

18 inch board would not be sufficient to place minimum 200 nails.. atleast 22 inch board could be used
Wood buying link
I did not buy the ready-made board anywhere. I purchased 1sheet of 9*4 feet plywood and got it cut into 6 round pieces of 2 feet size each. Please do search on Amazon if available or search in any near wood shop. I would not recommend buying MDF board, instead plywood is recommendable..
