My main takeaway from this video is the Spaced repetition ❤. Such a nice technique to master and appreciate, not only as a learner, but also as a teacher- to help students.

Thank you for sharing, Susanne!
Thanks for sharing these great strategies.
Thanks Katy, happy you found them helpful ☺️
Great points! Trusting the process often leads to the flow state.
Thank you Dewhammer, that’s so true 🤓
Yes, a state of flow is the most (the only?) resourceful way of learning BUT Distraction is a powerful learning tool. If you disagree how about this: what will you learn if you are STUCK ? Does it help to bang your head against the wall ?? A practical example: imagine you misplaced a key in your room, you spent 5-10-15 mins looking for it, you know it's there BUT you are stuck, you just can't find it. Feel free to waste another hour and getting 100% frustrated 🤪 ....OR get distracted: go out of the room, take a cup of coffe, come back in 5 mins AND all of a sudden your key has found you 😃
Thanks for this thoughtful comment! Agree 100%. I think what you are referring to is a creative break. We need to sometimes make some adjustments when we are stuck, e.g. go for a walk. The cool thing is that while you are taking this break your mind is still working on the issue at hand and often by the time you are done with the walk you have the solution 😎
Love that ❤ Thank you Dr. Nanuli
Thank you, Lizzy 🥰
Thanks for another great video!

Oh thanks, Phoebe! Yes, Fluffy is the best teacher for us all 😍
La nostra doctora Nanuli! Molt bé!
Muchas gracias, amigo!!
🔥🔥🥰🥰
Thank you, Pikria!!!
Another absolutely great video. I tend to do the easiest task first, with the idea of getting rid of them, but sometimes upon completion, I realize that they had very little or no importance at all. I loved the A B C D E method, which I will try right from tomorrow onwards.
Thank you, Zhuzhuna! So happy to hear that you found the video helpful 😍
One more great video. I like the A B C D E method 😊 haha Fluffy knows the importance of prioritisation 🐕
Hahha I know, he is the absolute star in all the videos 😍

Madloba Irochka!! 😍
Excellent and helpful video, thank you. Horrible, distracting background music, though.
Thanks a lot for your comment, Janne! Music, in general, tends to divide people. So does background music - some like it, others don't. Personally I'd like to see RUclips introduce a feature where the viewer can toggle the music on and off like one can do with subtitles. I will put more time into finding relaxing music. Please share if you have any recommendation or examples where it is done right.
@@DrNanuli In my humble opinion, the general best practice is not to use any background music when you are talking. You may use music in intro, outro, or when you show video clips and are not talking at the same time. If you still choose to use continuous background music throughout your video, you should at least tune the volume very low, when you are talking (and it makes more sense to mute it altogether, than have this low 'noise', I think). A tip here is to gradually increase/lower the volume during transitions, so that the changes are not too abrupt. What makes background music worse in your situation is that your microphone setup is not as good as it could be. The reason some people use background music, when they are talking, is to muffle their speech a little bit. They think it makes them sound better, hiding some pronunciation errors or vocal hiccups. It is precisely this muffling effect that makes listening to the information more difficult, and does a disservice to your message. Any good example I could show you would have no background music during talking. You have a good speaking voice, trust it to carry your message.
@@JanneHaavisto Thank you so much, Janne! I really appreciate your honest & helpful feedback ☺
I think it's impossible to have study or work breaks especially where you're working in a restraint society. And for international students who also double as workers in low paying jobs the issue of procrastination is replaced by outright despair. Even study psychologists worsen the situation because they only discuss how to balance studies and work and nothing more. Sadly the student who's forced to work more with their hands and never their brain will not make it well in both indulging and restraint societies.
Thank you very much, Sharon, for your insightful comment! I can totally relate to what you are saying. During my Master's studies I worked in a restaurant as a waitress to support myself. And I agree that what you describe is a very common experience for a lot of students, having to constantly balance myriad of jobs and responsibilities. I believe most of us have been in the state of despair, me included. What helps me in these situations is to remind myself of all the things that I am grateful for, all the opportunities that await us and that this is a very brief life and I should do my best to be joyful and enjoy it. How do you deal with such situations?
Great job, Nani! Very relevant for many of us haha :D:D
:)))))))))
Such a great short talk! Love how you explained procrastination and how simple your action plan is to overcome it. I will definitely be using some of these techniques... Time to start forgiving myself on any past procrastination 😉 thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Phoebe!!!
Guapa! Saludos de Barna!
Muchas gracias, cariño!
Once again an excellent video Dr. Nanuli!
Dear Dr. Malmberg, I appreciate your feedback greatly!
ნანიკო მიყვარხარ
mec!
Another great video!
Thanks a lot, Richard!!
the technique ``one space one use`` has been very handy for me during bringing up my child, but never thought of it in relation to productive and focused work, which is just great. The highlight of this video for me is the technique 10-10-10, which will definitely help me to picture myself in future, as well as reflect on my behaviours and actions afterwards. Thank you Nanuli.
Zhuzhuna, thanks a lot for your thorough comment, I am very happy you found it useful!
🙌🏻
Sounding and looking good Nani 👏🏼😌
Thank you, darling!
