WOW! Great stuff gents thanks!
Ah, a real pro, and I love his books
Brilliant content, thank you! 😎
This is hands-down best binocular choosing talk by the legend Stephen Tonkin himself. I recently own both his books and I absolutely love them. That joke about Sylvester Stallone copyrighting 'Rocky' about the BSO's horrible rocky eye-pieces are in his first book! Brilliant read.
Very good video, and I have a 10x50 Bushnell binoculars and I had no idea that you could see unearthly things. I will definitely look at the north Arkansas sky very soon. Thanks.....😊
Although this was presented two years ago, I still found it very relevant and super useful. Ivo provided some insight into the inner workings of StarTools and the normal way to use the workflow. This has really encourage me on my journey - thank you!
Pity he didn't mention 8x32's. I want a pair of all-rounders that size but if they won't do for astronomy, well...
Took a screenshot of those 'things to avoid'. Thanks.
Ty
Very informative, thank you.
TY Steve, phenomenal presentation!
I loved this presentation. And Steve, bearing in mind you love for asterisms and star clusters, I have a great list of things to do next time I'm in the UK, and you really need to visit Perth and check out the Jewel Box, turn left at the Southern Cross :-)
Where can I buy a monopod
It's photo equipment so it should be next to the tripods. I think there are tripods where you can use one leg seperately.
Just watched it all the way through.... Great job guys... I have just subbed... Even as a pro photographer I learnt quite a lot here ty.
Great video! What about 25x100 binoculars? Should I buy those even if I have 10x50 and what should I expect from them?
i'd invest in a better quality 10x50
Awesome video for binocular astronomy lovers!
1 Comment and 20 Likes? Where are the enthusiasts? One of the best video I've seen in recent times!
They don't respond to any questions or interact in any way. It's how channels stay small
Sorry, I am a little late. I became a stargazing enthusiast in late 2023 but hey, better late than never.
Wow it's good
Excellent description and justification of the power and uniqueness of StarTools, as well as a useful learning-by-doing tutorial.
Awesome info, thx!
Crop the stacks before DBE
Great talk again Thanks lads and to Ivo. 👌
These presentations are incredibly informative and useful, however having watched several of these, can I suggest that everyone, other than presenter, turns off audio and video to reduce band width requirements and make for a smoother presentation :)
Why is there no menu 7 and 8 please?
In watching this, I'm learning about features I haven't even thought would be there.
To give a testimony, I tried to learn SGP, TSX, and MaximDL for two years. Could never master it. I mastered N.I.N.A. in two weeks and it does everything those others do.
As an American, following the British accent is more difficult for me than following Stephan <grin>
Excellent talk by David , fascinating subject very informative well done David
What a superb talk. I learned a lot from this. Thank you very much!
Great to see the developer giving an overview of NINA. Having recently returned to astro-imaging, my experience with NINA has been excellent and the interface is very intuitive. Now if only those clouds would disappear I could be spending more time with NINA :)
Ive just found these videos and having watched Ep1 I am really grateful they are out there. I will be tuning in the the live sessions as I believe there is one this evening. Wealth of information and very field, I have a lot of catching up to do in the coming days
I missed the live demo as it was my birthday but really glad to watch it recorded. Thanks everybody.
Thanks Nik, SGL and FLO very informative 👍
It wasn't the first book I read on Astrophotography, but I wish it had been, I would have saved a lot of time and frustration!
